Fergus established StayCotswold following a career in publishing, marketing and event management. As a resident in the Cotswolds since 2000, he built his own local portfolio of property investments and launched StayCotswold to offer holidays and short lets plus a corporate and relocation service.
Top Cotswolds Tip: make sure you pay a visit to some of the outstanding Cotswolds pubs, such as the Five Alls in Filkins or the Plough at Kelmscott.

I grew up in Witney and now live in Cheltenham. I feel very lucky to have this beautiful part of the world on my doorstep. My commute across the Cotswolds each day has to be one of the best around! Having joined StayCotswold from the world of European holiday lets, sourcing some of the best villas across Europe for the most discerning of travellers – now being able to bring travellers to the Cotswolds, placing them in one of our incredible properties and giving them tips on where to go and what to see is a real privilege.
Favourite Cotswold Area: It has to be Stow on the Wold which has an abundance of character and some of the best pubs, cafés and boutique shops around.
I look after the marketing for StayCotswold and it is such a privilege working with such stunning properties in a beautiful part of the world. What I love most about living in the Cotswolds is that there is always something happening, such as food and music festivals, car shows, and quirky events like rubber duck racing and football in the river at Bourton-on-the-Water.
It is so refreshing to find such a unique company. My passion is property so what is there not to love about dealing with stunning homes in my favourite part of the country. What I like about the Cotswolds is that there is so much to do. My ideal Sunday would be spent on my favourite long walk, the River Windrush circular walk around Burford and it would be criminal not to follow this up with an afternoon tea at Huffkins afterwards!
I manage the property maintenance and grounds of StayCotswold's outstanding properties with conservation very much in mind. I grew up around Witney and Chipping Norton, and what I love about the Cotswolds is its abundance of wildlife of which I regularly see on my field walks around the Cotswolds and whilst I am out and about at our properties.
