One of the many highlights of this property is the views over the private parkland which you can admire from the drawing room whilst cosying up in front of the roaring fire. The large kitchen is fully stocked for all your catering needs and the dining room is the perfect place to enjoy dinner with family and friends. There is a ready supply of home gown lamb, pork and bacon available which you can discuss with the owner when you book. There are plenty of walks from the doorstep through the stunning grounds and around the lake, and also to the nearby University Arboretum, one of the oldest in the country, a favourite with locals and guests alike. Just a short walk away, you will find a great family friendly pub - a popular feature that most people desire when they are having a break away!
The large kitchen is a cook's dream and is well equipped with an AGA and range cooker, dishwasher, coffee machine and American fridge/freezer. It's perfect for socialising whilst the cook of the household is working their magic. The breakfast table seats 12 and there are plenty of cook books. Alternatively, ask us for some caterer
suggestions and get someone else to do the hard work!
Through the grand hallway, the beautiful historic panelled dining room can seat 12-16 guests, perfect for a family dinner. The well-appointed Georgian sitting room overlooks the grounds with a grand piano and board games.
Upstairs you will find the study with comfy sofas, TV and an array of books to enjoy. There are also laundry facilities which guests can use.
The luxurious master bedroom with super king bed overlooking the grounds has seating arranged around the fireplace, and is complemented by a large dressing room. The stunning master bathroom has a roll top bath, separate shower cubicle and his and hers basins.
The spacious twin bedroom, with en-suite and walk in wardrobe, enjoys the same stunning views of the grounds.
The third bedroom can be either super king or twin and has a walk-in wardrobe and en-suite.
There is a further double bedroom and two single bedrooms, three further bathrooms and a cloakroom.
Eat al fresco on the South Lawn in the summer sun admiring the lovely views, and enjoy the flowers in the Walled Garden.
Why not have a go at croquet, walk down though the grounds to the nearby arboretum, or unwind by hitting golf balls on the lawn.
Admire the snowdrops in winter or the bluebells in the spring, the grounds change with the seasons so it is always beautiful no matter what time of year you visit.

StayCotswold is now offering a flexible cancellation policy allowing our guests to book with confidence, knowing that if you cancel for any unforeseen circumstances that arise, you the guest will be returned your booking deposit or full payment depending upon what has already been paid. This will apply to all new bookings placed to arrive after the 1st of August 2020.

Baldon House is just 15 minutes from Oxford with its historic colleges and famous architecture, and a fantastic range of shops (the new Westgate shopping centre is perfect for the shopaholic!), bars and restaurants. The Seven Stars pub is situated on the village green, only a few minutes walk away, and offers a family friendly vibe. You also have The Mole Inn, slightly further but still walking distance, which offers a more gastro pub feel. And of course, we cannot forget the Cotswolds are a stones throw away offering plenty of walks, outside activities, quintessential villages and stunning views!
