Built in 1860, Gable Cottage is a spacious family holiday home in the Cotswolds, sleeping up to four people in one double and two single rooms. A Victorian end terrace on a quiet no-through road in the tranquil yet vibrant Oxfordshire village of Ramsden, it is close to the lively Cotswold market towns of Witney and Chipping Norton, an ideal place from which to explore the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Spacious, fully-equipped modern kitchen with all your self catering needs looked after, from making a cuppa, to cooking a three course meal. There is a gas hob and an electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and washer/dryer. Large worktop space and a bistro style table and two chairs. The light filled kitchen leads out into the enclosed courtyard dining area.
The dining room is the heart of the cottage with plenty of space for dining for four, or open the table out for family board games or jigsaws! A great space for planning your days out, where maps and guides can be laid out and shared.
The generous living room has more than enough space for everyone to spread out and relax in comfy sofas, armchairs and handy footstools, with lovely warm wraps for winter comfort. You will find a Smart TV and DVD in the sitting room, along with WIFI throughout the house. The fireplace in the sitting room is original, but decorative only.

There is also a downstairs cloakroom with WC and sink for your convenience.
The 3 bedrooms are all located on the first floor.

It is an absolutely beautifully-renovated Cotswold cottage, with all the charms of an old cottage, but with all the modern conveniences everyone wants. A lovely place to stay in the Cotswolds.
Gable Cottage is a superb cottage which has all the facilities you need for a relaxing and peaceful holiday. Absolutely stunning – inside and out. It has been a true labour of love for the owners and the end result is truly beautiful. We look forward to visiting again sometime in the future.

Like many of our properties, this property welcomes pets, for a small extra charge of £40 per pet to cover additional cleaning costs. Ramsden is easily accessible from the A40 or the A44. It is just four miles north of Witney and 4 miles south of Charlbury, the nearest train station. Oxford is just over 30 minutes to the south east and Cheltenham is under an hour to the west by car. The Royal Oak, a traditional 17th Century former coaching inn, serving local beer and food is just around the corner from Gable Cottage and you will find a village shop in the nearby village of Finstock. The Cotswold market towns of Charlbury, Chipping Norton and Witney also offer a wide variety of restaurants and pubs to choose from as well as larger shops and supermarkets.
