Pear Tree House is a gorgeous grade 2 listed Cotswold holiday property located in the heart of the picturesque village of Standlake, Oxfordshire. Formally a butchers shop, this pet friendly holiday house now provides a spacious family space which is filled with characterful features including; 2 log burners, outdoor firepit, window seats, exposed stonework and beams. The property benefits from gated private off street parking and a large secure garden. With a large living room plus separate snug room there is plenty of space for the whole group to enjoy after a long day exploring all that the local area has to offer.
The kitchen is a fully fitted modern kitchen with island breakfast bar, range cooker, dishwasher, microwave and everything one might possibly need during their stay. To the rear of the kitchen sits the spacious main living room which has a vaulted ceiling and comfortable seating placed around the log burning stove and TV. There is also a separate cosy snug room with another log burner and TV and a separate formal dining room and WC room. The living space flows very well and it very convenient for families.

There are lots of things to do in Standlake and the surrounding area including water sports, hiking, cycling, horse riding, tennis and walking.
The Black Horse Pub is a short walk from the cottage and offers excellent ales and fine food as well as a warm welcome. Just over a mile away is the Red Lion Pub another fine eating and drinking destination with home grown veggies and local meat.
Either drive or walk cross country to the Rose Revived, a beautiful riverside Inn. Watch the boats cruise by as you dine or you can try your hand at punting.
If you are a fan of Fish and Chips the village is visited every Thursday by the Cod Father - not to be missed
Standlake is surrounded by lakes. These beautiful lakes provide excellent fishing for those who like to relax and enjoy the view.
