Foden Cottage is a beautifully refurbished Cotswold holiday cottage which sleeps four guests, in two well-appointed bedrooms, with two bathrooms. Laid out over three floors, this fabulous property boasts contemporary interiors, benefits from a dedicated workspace and has a picturesque courtyard garden which enjoys the summer sun. The modern finish has been complemented by wonderful character features including flagstone flooring, exposed beams and an exposed stone fireplace with open fire in the sitting room. Foden Cottage is a dog friendly holiday home, suitable for up to two medium sized dogs.

This two bedroom holiday cottage in Lower Oddington is perfect for families, friends and couples who are looking to explore the North Cotswolds. The accommodation is laid out as follows:

  • The property is laid out over three floors and has a step down into the garden from the kitchen which could pose difficultly to guests with limited mobility
  • As there is a tiered garden, children should be supervised when outside and guests with limited mobility should take particular care
  • The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk
  • No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property

  • The maximum occupancy for this property is 4 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 1 additional infant
  • Events are not permitted without prior consent
  • A security deposit is required at this property
  • Check in is from 17:00 and check out is by 10:00
Security Deposit

A security deposit of £150 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date, providing no damage is reported the pre-authorisation will be released 5 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

Foden Cottage is located in Lower Oddington, a picturesque village surrounded by wonderful countryside, and home to The Fox Inn, a popular country pub. Just down the road in Upper Oddington is the Horse & Groom, another country inn which serves high quality dishes with a modern twist.
For your shopping essentials, there is a Tesco Superstore in Stow-on-the-Wold, and the Daylesford Organic farm shop is also close by.
Lower Oddington is well-placed for visiting the picture-postcard towns and villages of Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Campden, Broadway and Blockley, and also has a number of tourist attractions within easy reach.


Beautiful cottage, furnished with the best of everything. In the information folder, it asked that you place rubbish in the bin by the front door. There was no bin by the front door. The recycling bin was two thirds full when I arrived, however, we were asked to sort our recycling into separate bins. These were in the back yard, but I did not feel itcwas my responsibility to sort somebody else's rubbish, so I left it with a note. One other thing, the frying panvwas left in the cupboard very dirty, I did clean this. I think the cleaners are letting you down.

We are delighted to hear that you found Foden Cottage to be beautiful and in a good location. We are sorry that the previous guests had put the frying pan away dirty. The bins have been moved to the back of the cottage and we have asked the property owner to update the welcome information for the benefit of future guests. The owners only ask that you separate your rubbish, any rubbish left by previous guests would be sorted by the property management team when they collect the rubbish for disposal. We do hope that you will be back to stay at Foden Cottage again!
