Halfway House is a stunning Grade II listed property, which is believed to have been part of a coaching inn dating back to the mid-18th century. This Cotswold cottage can sleep up to six guests across three king size bedrooms, with a bathroom to accompany each and is bursting with original characterful features. On the ground floor, enjoy evenings in front of one of two wood burning stove, the first in the beautifully appointed living room with plenty of cosy seating, and the second tucked away in the inglenook fireplace in the dedicated dining room, with seating for up to six guests and set adjacent to the well equipped kitchen.

At the front of the cottage is a very small ornamental front garden, bordered by yew trees and views down the high street. There is a metal bench, a small bistro table and two chairs. Please note that although this area is idyllic it is not a large entertaining lounge area

  • Bed linen and towels are provided - bedding is a mixture of feather filled and hypoallergenic. Just hypoallergenic bedding can be provided on request

  • This is an old, Grade II listed property and has many character features, including some low beams, steep stairs, sloping ceilings in the eaves and multiple floors, which could pose difficulty to guests with limited mobility, or carrying babies, both in terms of their general movement and their ability to quickly exit the property in the event of an emergency
  • The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk
  • No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property

  • The maximum occupancy for this property is 6 guests. Regrettably, the property does not accept children under the age of 8. 1 infant who is not yet walking is accepted, however please note that guests with babies will need to bring their own travel cots and high chairs, as required
  • Hen and Stag parties are not permitted
  • Events are not permitted without prior consent
  • A security deposit is required at this property
  • Check in is from 16:00 and check out is by 10:00
Security Deposit

A security deposit of £250 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date, providing no damage is reported the pre-authorisation will be released 5 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

Broadway is one of the leading North Cotswold villages and the high street is lined with tea rooms, pubs and gorgeous shops. You'll find Halfway House ideally located at the far end of the high street, just a short walk to the hustle and bustle the town has to offer. Be sure to take the two-three mile round trip walk to Broadway Tower to soak up the views during your stay or head to The Lygon Arms for dinner and a cocktail or two.
For your shopping essentials, there is a Co-op just off the high street and you must also pay a visit to the Broadway Deli, offering local and high quality goods.
Broadway is also well located for an easy drive to other much loved towns and villages across the Cotswolds including Moreton-in-Marsh, Stow-on-the-Wold and Winchcombe to name a few.
