Laurel Tree Cottage is a dog friendly holiday home, suitable for two dogs.

Booking & Payment

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

Laurel Tree Cottage is tucked away on a peaceful lane in the quintessential Cotswold village of Guiting Power. Listed in the Sunday Times at 21 of the 50 best villages in the UK, the village boasts rows of attractive stone cottages, two well-regarded country pubs, a Post Office with a tearoom and a well regarded Farm shop & cafe, The Cotswold Guy.
In the heart of the village is also a park with playing field, swings, sandpit and zip wire and a lovely community atmosphere. The village is located along the route of several countryside walks and provides the perfect base from which to explore the North Cotswolds. Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold are nearby and host a selection of local pubs, shops and supermarkets. Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park is on the outskirts of the village and the market town of Winchcombe is just a short drive away, home to the historic Sudeley Castle.

The Finer Details

  • Bed linen and towels are provided
  • The gated gravel driveway has designated, off-street parking for up to three medium cars and further on-street parking is available in the village
  • 1 travel cot and 1 Tripp Trapp chair are available on request (please bring your own linen for the travel cot, as this is not provided). There are two fixed stair gates which are positioned so that the first-floor landing can be enclosed
  • Up to two medium sized dogs are accepted for an additional £40 per booking per dog (please see 'Things to Note...' below). For pet rules, please visit our FAQs
  • The property’s garden is enclosed by hedges only, so young children and pets should be supervised outside at all times
  • Aga – to be lit between October and April but can be requested for the summer months during the booking process. In the summer, the kitchen can become hot due to heat from the Aga
  • Wifi is Gigaclear superfast broadband
  • Mobile phone reception is generally OK, but can be variable
  • 3 Smart TVs and 1 Freeview TV
  • The property has an oil-fired central heating system
  • Please be mindful that there are low doorways, multiple floors and steps from the driveway down to the kitchen
  • The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk
  • No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property
Things to Note...
  • The maximum occupancy for this property is 11 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 3 additional infants
  • Hen and Stag groups are not permitted, but same sex family groups are welcome on request
  • Commercial and work related bookings on request
  • Events are not permitted without prior consent
  • A security deposit is required at this property
  • Check in is from 17:00 and check out is by 10:00
  • The garden is regularly maintained by a professional gardening service and although this work is generally carried out when the property is vacant, the gardener may need to carry out work whilst the property is occupied. If you require further information, please don’t hesitate to contact us
  • Please note the neighbour keeps free roaming chickens, so dogs will need to be supervised when outside and kept on the lead if they are not chicken friendly. The garden is not fully enclosed as some of the boundary is hedged rather than securely fenced
Security Deposit

A security deposit of £350 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date, providing no damage is reported the pre-authorisation will be released 5 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
