Midsummer Cottage is a beautifully refurbished Cotswold cottage which sleeps four guests, in two bedrooms, with a bright and airy bathroom. On the ground floor there is a well-equipped open plan kitchen/dining room which leads out into the split level garden, an enchanting outside space with a small stream-like pond, colourful potted flowers and leafy trees. This charming Grade II listed cottage sits in the heart of the picturesque village of Stanton and has lovely character features including exposed wooden beams and an exposed Cotswold stone fireplace with cosy wood burner.

  • The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk
  • No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property

  • The maximum occupancy for this property is 4 adults. Regrettably, Midsummer Cottage does not accept children nor infants
  • Events are not permitted without prior consent

  • Check in is from 17:00 and check out is by 10:00
  • Midsummer Cottage is a 17th century period holiday home which has good ceiling height in most areas
  • Guests are not permitted up to the second floor, this area is for owner use only
  • Bedroom 2 has limited floor space, though guests can access the bed from both sides
Security Deposit

A security deposit of £150 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date, providing no damage is reported the pre-authorisation will be released 5 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

Midsummer Cottage is situated in picturesque Stanton, a chocolate-box village with thatched and honey-coloured Cotswold stone properties, and home to The Mount Inn, a popular gastro pub. Surrounded by countryside, there are many footpaths on its doorstep including the Cotswold Way long distance trail which passes through the village itself, or for keen riders, Jill Carenza’s Cotswold Riding is on the outskirts of the village and offers hacks for all abilities.
For your shopping essentials, there is a Co-op in Broadway and a convenience store in Toddington.
Stanton is well-placed for exploring the lovely towns and villages of the North Cotswolds including Winchcombe, Chipping Campden and Snowshill.

Perfect location in a beautiful cottage and village. Good location for walking and driving to all the prime tourist spots. The bed and pillows were a dream! Place was well equipped - just a few strategic mirrors and plugs for drying hair etc would be a bonus. Did not want to leave. Will deffo come back.

Keen walkers? Why not don your boots and take on the circular route from Stanton to the picturesque village of Snowshill, before heading back via unspoilt Stanway. The walk passes through high grasslands, open wold and woodland, and though challenging in places, you’re rewarded with far-reaching rural views.
