Post Office Cottage is a quintessential Cotswold holiday home which sleeps 6+1 guests, in three stylish bedrooms, with the +1 option being a single pull-out trundle bed, with a family bathroom. Waiting within is an inviting home from home, with a well-equipped kitchen, a light and airy dining room and a beautiful sitting room full of plush soft furnishings, completed with a warming log burner creating a cosy abode. The quaint outside area consists of a courtyard, with easy access into the fabulous village of Shipton-under-Wychwood

Booking & Payment

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

Post Office Cottage is located in the heart of The Wychwoods, with wonderful walks from your doorstep and a fabulous selection of pubs such as The Lamb in Shipton-under-Wychwood, The Hare in Milton-under-Wychwood or The Swan in Ascott-under-Wychwood. There are plenty of places to visit in the surrounding area such as Daylesford Organic Farmshop, The Cotswold Wildlife Park and Blenheim Palace.
For your shopping essentials, there is a local Co-op in Milton-under-Wychwood and larger supermarkets in Chipping Norton.
Shipton-under-Wychwood is nestled in the heart of the North Cotswolds, close to the quintessential towns of Burford, Chipping Norton and Stow-on-the-Wold.

  • The maximum occupancy for this property is 7 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 2 additional infants (aged 2 or under)

  • Please note there are some low beams and sloped ceilings
  • The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk
  • No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property

  • Hen and Stag parties are not permitted, though other same sex groups can enquire 
  • Events are not permitted without prior consent
  • A security deposit is required at this property
  • Check in is from 17:00 and check out is by 10:00
  • Charging electric vehicles at this property is not permitted
Security Deposit

A security deposit of £250 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date and, providing no damage is reported, the pre-authorisation will be released 7 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
