Just returned from our dreamy 2 week stay at Railway Cottage booked thru StayCotswolds. What an amazing experience from start to finish! The Staycotswold team was so helpful and super informed giving us personal advise and guidance on how to choose a property right for our needs. They spoke with us on the phone trying to bring to life all the available properties until we settled on the best for us .and our dog! All payments, information and plans went off without a hitch which made us feel super secure and free of any worry. And this good energy only continued upon arrival at our amazing cottage. Immediately you were hit with the stunning exterior of the front of the cottage which, for this American, looked like something out of the pages of chocolate box England. A beautiful front entrance complete with roses, lavender and fairy lights, we knew we were in for a great visit. The loveliness continued inside as well with the styling of the cottage as picture perfect. An awesome mixture of old and new, rustic and comfortable, cozy and airy this cottage was simply divine. And for us, the back enclosed garden was a massive success for our young lab who knew he wasnt in London anymore! Filled with flowers and peace and quiet we really enjoyed the garden. Inside the house, the furnishings were handpicked with care and thought and the amazing array of funky art and flowers strewn around the place made it feel like a home away from home. Take note of the small piece of art in the master bedroom of a cutout piece of school paper with a love note written on it then framed in a shadow box. Also of note it the attention to detail in the cottage things like the amazing array of light pulls made from jute, rope, wood etc. as well as the wonderful collection of lamp shades dotted through the house. Simply wonderful. And one additional fab element is the walk to the village easy and effortless and has all that you need to stock up on or cheat off your diet on! On top of that, we had the great opportunity of visiting the pub of the owners (The Lamb in Crawley) and were blown away by the food and ambiance - much like that of the cottage. A great mixture of unusual and homey, the pub and its menu were delicious. We fell in love with the pub dog Molly! We would highly recommend StayCotswolds and the Railway Cottage to anyone and everyone. It was dreamy and for us a great golden gateway to one of the most beautiful places in the country. Enjoy!
