- The Stow Horse Fair is held twice a year, on the Thursday closest to 12th May and the Thursday closest to 24th October. This is a traditional fair for gypsies and travelling people to meet up and trade which dates back to 1476 when its Charter was granted. Stow is very busy for a day or two before and after each fair, and a number of shops, pubs and restaurants are closed. Whilst many visitors enjoy the colour and vibrancy associated with the fairs, other visitors prefer to avoid Stow on these dates
A security deposit of £150 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date, providing no damage is reported the pre-authorisation will be released 5 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.

In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.
For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

Location Information
Rye is situated on a quiet side street in the centre of Stow-on-the-Wold, one of the best known Cotswold market towns. A variety of independent shops, pubs and restaurants line the streets, and the historic market square plays host to the Farmers' Market every second Thursday of the month, showcasing fantastic local produce and wares. Stow is surrounded by beautiful countryside and there are many footpaths on its doorstep including routes to the neighbouring villages of Longborough and The Oddingtons, all home to popular pubs for lunch stops.
For your shopping essentials, there is a mini Co-op in The Square, less than a minutes' walk away, or a Tesco Superstore located on the Fosse Way, less than one mile away.
Stow is well-placed for visiting the many picturesque towns and villages of the North Cotswolds such as Chipping Campden, Burford, Bourton-on-the-Water and Broadway.
