Overview

Stonelands is a wonderfully presented Cotswold holiday home which sleeps ten guests, in five welcoming bedrooms, with three bathrooms. This Grade II listed home has been lovingly furnished in a warm and contemporary style, which blends beautifully with the traditional character features of exposed Cotswold stone feature walls, wooden beams and a cosy wood burning stove. The two living areas and spacious well-equipped kitchen/diner provide ample areas for guests to relax together as a group or take a moment of peace to enjoy the stunning surroundings. This space extends to the garden as not only does Stonelands have beautiful countryside views, the cottage also has a large garden with plenty of outdoor seating and even a hot tub!

This five bedroom holiday cottage just outside Burford is well-located for large groups of friends or families looking to explore the Cotswolds and many things the area has to offer. The large Cotswold accommodation is laid out as follows:

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

Stonelands is located on the outskirts of the well-known town of Burford. Burford is famous for its main high street along a hill which is lined with quaint traditional Cotswold cottages. The town benefits from an array of country pubs, tearooms and a large selection of artisan shops. The nearest eatery to Stonelands is the Rose & Crown at Shilton, which can be easily reached by car. We definitely recommend a trip to this pretty village with its attractive ford and picturesque village green. The surrounding area boasts a wealth of footpaths, ranging from a casual stroll into Burford to longer hikes exploring the local countryside.
For your shopping essentials, there is a Co-op in Burford, alongside some locally owned food stores.
Stonelands is excellently located with many wonderful attractions within an easy drive. Both the Cotswold Wildlife Park and the more unusual Crocodiles of the World are both a short drive from the property. Further afield are the much-loved locations of Stow-on-the-Wold, Bibury and Cirencester, all making excellent day trips!   • The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk
  • No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property
Things to Note...
  • The maximum occupancy for this property is 10 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 2 additional infants
  • Hen and Stag parties are not permitted, though other same sex groups can enquire
  • Events are not permitted without prior consent
  • A security deposit is required at this property
  • Check in is from 16:00 and check out is by 10:00
  • Please note Stonelands benefits from lovely grounds, however some of the fields do have livestock in. The owners politely ask guests not to feed them or access the fields without prior discussion with the property manager
  • Please note there is a security camera looking over the car parking area, this does not overlook the rest of the house
  • There are three hairdryers at the property
Security Deposit

A security deposit of £500 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date and, providing no damage is reported, the pre-authorisation will be released 7 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
