In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

The Byres is located in the delightful country village of Elmley Castle, with a local pub, The Queen Elizabeth. Just on the outskirts of the Bredon Hill National Nature Reserve, it is a stunning spot for the avid walker. Just a 15-minute drive away, you will find Broadway, often known as the 'Jewel of the Cotswolds'. This beautiful honeypot is well worth a visit, especially for Broadway Tower, where on a clear day you can see breathtaking views of 16 counties. For your shopping essentials, there are a number of supermarkets and independent retailers in Evesham, just a short drive away.
Not too far afield are the wonderful Cotswold towns of Chipping Campden and Winchcombe, which are well worth a visit!

  • The maximum occupancy for this property is 4 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 1 additional infant

  • Check in is from 16:00 and check out is by 10:00
  • The garden is regularly maintained by a professional gardening service on a Monday morning (the gardener may need to carry out work whilst the property is occupied). If you require further information, please don’t hesitate to contact us
  • The Byres is a self-contained property in the grounds where the owner lives
  • To enquire about including a hot tub for your stay, please contact Nick at Oxford Hot Tubs. Hire costs will be payable to Oxford Hot Tubs directly, along with a standard £75 charge payable to the Owner via StayCotswold as a contribution towards the usual running costs
Security Deposit

A security deposit of £250 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date, providing no damage is reported the pre-authorisation will be released 5 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
