The Forge is an elegantly refurbished 18th-century Cotswold-stone holiday home that sleeps four guests, in two well-appointed bedrooms, with two spacious bathrooms. Brimming with character, this charming country cottage is full of exposed beams and features a welcoming wood burner set in a stunning stone fireplace. The open-plan living space is elegantly furnished, with original artworks and cosy window seats that overlook the secluded garden. On a summer’s afternoon, head into the garden to relax in this perfect little suntrap. The Forge is a dog-friendly holiday home, suitable for one well-behaved dog.

Booking & Payment

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

The Forge is located in the peaceful village of Upper Oddington, an unspoilt village which is home to the award-winning Horse & Groom pub, perfect for a cosy romantic meal or a family get together. In neighbouring Lower Oddington, within walking distance of the village, is The Fox, which serves superior food and a selection of ales.
For your shopping essentials, there is a Tesco Superstore in Stow-on-the-Wold and the highly renowned Daylesford Farmshop is close by.
Upper Oddington is surrounded by beautiful countryside, with many lovely walks and cycle routes available straight from the front door. This quaint village is also perfectly placed for visiting the much loved towns of Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Campden and Cheltenham, as well as the picture postcard villages of Broadway, Lower Slaughter and Blockley.

  • The maximum occupancy for this property is 4 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 1 additional infant
  • Commercial and work related bookings are not permitted
  • Events are not permitted without prior consent
  • A security deposit is required at this property
  • Check in is from 16:00 and check out is by 10:00
Security Deposit

A security deposit of £150 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date, providing no damage is reported the pre-authorisation will be released 5 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
