The Hideaway is a beautiful Shepherds Hut sleeping 2 in the quintessential Cotswold village of Filkins. This cosy open-plan shepherd's hut has a delightful log burner for the colder months, a built-in shower room, and a bednook with plush soft furnishings and Smart TV, perfect for a movie night! The wonderful outside space is fully enclosed for your four-legged friend and is complete with a wood-fired hot tub to enjoy after a long day exploring the Cotswolds.

Booking & Payment

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

The Hideaway is nestled in the pretty village of Filkins, home to Cotswold Woollen Weavers with a fabulous selection of tweed clothing, cafe, and delightful pub, the Five Alls. This peaceful village is surrounded by wonderful countryside and is a short drive from other fabulous towns and villages such as Clanfield, Lechlade-on-Thames, and Burford, all well worth a visit! If you're looking for a day out, the dog-friendly Cotswold Wildlife Park is but a mere 5 minute drive; a little further afield is Blenheim Palace and Diddly Squat Farmshop and Clarksons pub The Farmer's Dog.

For your shopping essentials, there are local retailers and supermarkets in both Lechlade-on-Thames and Carterton.
Filkins is well-placed for exploring the many scenic towns and villages of the Cotswolds, such as Cirencester, Stow-on-the-Wold, Bibury, and Bourton-on-the-Water.

Security Deposit

A security deposit of £150 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date and, providing no damage is reported, the pre-authorisation will be released 7 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
