The apartment comprises a stylish open plan kitchen/dining and sitting room, with views of the communal garden and the valley beyond. The Nook is a dog friendly holiday home and has plenty of Cotswold towns and villages to explore within a short car ride, including Burford and Bourton-on-the-Water.

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

The Nook is located in Windrush Heights, which is within a stone's throw of The Cotswold Outpost and a short drive to the picturesque village of Little Barrington, an unspoilt village with an award-wining country pub, The Fox Inn, which is set alongside the River Windrush. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, there are numerous walks. Just four miles away is the chocolate-box medieval town of Burford, with a variety of independent shops, galleries, cafes and restaurants.

For your shopping essentials, there is a Co-op in Burford.

The maximum occupancy for this property is 4 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 1 additional infant
Events are not permitted without prior consent
A security deposit is required at this property
Check in is from 17:00 and check out is by 10:00
The Nook has a lovely communal garden and fire pit area for guests to enjoy and it is important to the owners that guests are courteous and considerate towards the neighbouring properties (please note that fuel/wood is not provided for the fire pit)

Security Deposit

A security deposit of £100 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date, providing no damage is reported the pre-authorisation will be released 5 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.

The flat was wonderful, nice and clean! It is in the middle of loads of fields which is love but not fat drive from nearest town

The property appears to be quite new so was clean in appearance. We found it strange that it didn't have a microwave and was also lacking a welcome folder which we have become a custom to when visiting cottages. The lack of the welcome book meant me didn't know how to use some of the appliances and the heating system and during an electrical power outage, were unable to locate any sort of torch to see our way around the property. The outside is also very poorly lit. Luckily we had a torch in the car to use when transgressing from our vehicle to the property and to use whilst the power was off. .

The owners have confirmed that there was a welcome folder for guests with helpful information about the property, this may have been misplaced by a previous guest so they will produce another one. Fabulous apartment, clean and tidy, enough equipped for making breakfast, needed more for cooking tea etc. Maybe a better explanation, of how to enter the building, I.E key fob. Overall would highly recommend The Nook.
