The Organic Wagon is a cosy country bolthole near Faringdon which sleeps two guests, in an open plan bedroom, with a shower room. This beautifully styled retreat features a cute cabin bed, a wood burner and a raised terrace which looks out across the seven acre walled garden and beyond. This shared garden is home to over 60 varieties of organic fruit and veg, and guests are welcome to wander through the grounds at their leisure. The Organic Wagon is a dog friendly holiday home, suitable for one small dog, and is ideal for those looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

This one bedroom wagon in Coleshill is perfect for a romantic getaway in the heart of the countryside. Five steps lead up to the terrace, and then the single storey accommodation is laid out as follows:

Booking & Payment

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

The Organic Wagon is situated in the village of Coleshill, part of the Coleshill Estate which is owned by the National Trust. The Trust hosts a village open day once a month between April and October, allowing visitors access to the old flour mill, Second World War replica bunker and parklands. There is also a café, the Carpenters Canteen, which serves lunch, coffee and other refreshments.
For your shopping essentials, there is an organic farmshop onsite where you can pre-order boxes of fruit, veg and eggs, and there are supermarkets in nearby Faringdon and Highworth.
Coleshill is well-placed for visiting the Cotswold towns and villages of Lechlade-on-Thames, Cirencester, Bibury and Bampton, as well as the cities of Oxford, Bath and Bristol.

  • Charcoal BBQ with an initial supply of charcoal provided (guests are responsible for cleaning BBQ after use)
  • There is no central heating at the property, however an electric heater is provided
  • Supply of wood provided for the wood burning stove
  • The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk
  • No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property

  • The maximum occupancy for this property is 2 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 1 additional infant
  • Events are not permitted without prior consent
  • A security deposit is required at this property
  • Check in is from 16:00 and check out is by 11:00
  • The garden is regularly maintained by a professional gardening service and although this work is generally carried out when the property is vacant, the gardener may need to carry out work whilst the property is occupied. If you require further information, please don’t hesitate to contact us
  • The Organic Wagon is a self-contained property in the grounds where the owner lives (these grounds are also home to an organic farm shop, so you may see shoppers wandering the gardens during the day)
  • Please note the produce grown in the gardens is for the farm shop
  • Upon arrangement with the owner, guests are able to use the washing machine at the owner’s home
  • Guests can use the telephone at the owner’s home for emergency calls
Security Deposit

A security deposit of £150 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date and, providing no damage is reported, the pre-authorisation will be released 7 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
