The Snug is a beautifully refurbished Cotswold holiday cottage which sleeps 5 guests in two well-appointed bedrooms and one spacious bathroom. On the ground floor you have a stylish open plan sitting/dining room which leads through to the kitchen and French doors leading to the garden, boasting plenty of outdoor seating and a hot tub, a space to enjoy all year round. Indoors there is a cosy sitting room and lovely features including original beams and exposed stone fireplace with wood burner. The Snug is a dog friendly holiday home, suitable for two medium sized dogs or cats

Booking & Payment

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

The Snug is situated in the bustling market town of Chipping Norton, known to locals as 'Chippy'. This vibrant town has a number of shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants, and is home to The Theatre, a popular venue which has comedy nights, film screenings, live music and those much-loved pantos.
For your shopping essentials, there are supermarkets and independent retailers in Chipping Norton.
Chipping Norton is well-placed for visiting the popular North Cotswold towns and villages of Stow-on-the-Wold, Burford, Bourton-on-the-Water and Kingham, and is also within easy reach of the popular tourist destinations of Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon.

  • The maximum occupancy for this property is 5 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 2 additional infants (aged 2 or under) 
  • Bed linen and towels are provided (duvets and pillows are hypoallergenic)

  • Travel cots and highchairs are not provided, so guests will need to bring these with them

  • Events are not permitted without prior consent

  • Check in is from 15:00 and check out is by 10:00
  • The Snug has a lovely garden for guests to enjoy and it is important to the owners that guests are courteous and considerate towards the neighbouring properties. We politely request that guests do not disturb the neighbours and that loud music is not played outside after 21:00
  • Charging electric vehicles at this property is not permitted
Security Deposit

A security deposit of £250 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date and, providing no damage is reported, the pre-authorisation will be released 7 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
