Union Cottage occupies an enviable location down a quiet residential street just around the corner from the market square in bustling Tetbury. This Grade II listed Cotswold holiday home sleeps up to 5 guests, in three tasteful bedrooms with two modern bathrooms. On the ground floor there is an inviting living room with wood burner, a well-appointed kitchen and bright dining area overlooking the private enclosed courtyard. Formerly a workers cottage in the 19th century, Union Cottage has been lovingly renovated to combine contemporary conveniences whilst retaining the period features in-keeping with the age of the property. This immaculately presented cottage is also dog friendly, welcoming one small-medium sized, well behaved dog, making it a wonderful destination to share with loved ones!

This three bedroom Cotswold holiday cottage is nestled in the heart of Tetbury and is perfectly situated for exploring the town, it's eateries and the local countryside. The Cotswold accommodation is laid out as follows:

Ground Floor

Dining room leads off from the kitchen with vaulted ceilings, table with seating for six, skylight and door leading into the courtyard

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

Union Cottage is a dog friendly holiday home located in the picturesque market town of Tetbury, the second largest town in the Cotswolds. Tetbury is a foodies' paradise with an array of delicious eateries in the town centre with a wide assortment of cuisines, just minutes' from the cottage. The town is also famed for its numerous antique shops. Just outside Tetbury's town centre are the renowned attractions of Chavenage House- frequently featured in Poldark, Westonbirt House and notably, Highgrove, the private residence of King Charles III.
For your shopping essentials, there are many independent delis, bakeries and butchers in the town all specialising in local produce. There is also a Co-op in the town centre and a larger Tesco Superstore on the outskirts of Tetbury.
Tetbury sits in the South Cotswolds within easy reach of the much loved Cotswold destinations of Cirencester, Castle Combe, Bibury, Lechlade-on-Thames and Malmsbury. For those wishing to explore the local area on foot then there are many beautiful walks through the surrounding countryside- one of our favourites is a circular walk following an old railway line to the quaint village of Ashley before joining up with the well-known Monarchs Way walking trail. The well-known horse trials of Badminton and Gatcombe are a 10 minute drive, making Union Cottage a great base for visiting these.

  • The cottage is a period property so there is restricted head height and uneven floorboards throughout. 
  • As Union Cottage is located on a relatively steep hill, there is a step up into the house at the front door and then a step down into the courtyard. We do ask guests to be mindful of this when entering and exiting the property
  • The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk
  • No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property
Things to Note...
  • The maximum occupancy for this property is 5 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 1 additional infant. Regrettably, Union Cottage only accepts infants under the age of 2 and children over the age of 8
  • Events are not permitted without prior consent
  • A security deposit is required at this property
  • Check in is from 16:00 and check out is by 10:00
  • Union Cottage has a lovely courtyard for guests to enjoy and it is important to the owners that guests are courteous and considerate towards the neighbouring properties
Security Deposit

A security deposit of £250 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date, providing no damage is reported the pre-authorisation will be released 5 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
