This stunning Cotswold holiday home is surrounded by breath-taking countryside and sits within large, manicured gardens and has a modern summer house, which has been designed with indoor/outdoor living in mind.

Sunny aspect, open-plan and well equipped for home cooking, amenities include a range cooker with a double electric oven and gas hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, extendable glass dining table with seating for six and a leather arm chair

Accessed via the dining area this well presented room contains a cosy wood burning stove, two three-seater sofas, window seats, Smart TV, a selection of books and local information

Washing machine, cold water sink, additional fridge/freezer for use in the summer months

Outside
Two peaceful gardens located at the front and rear of the property. Surrounded by a variety of shrubs, plants and trees, the front garden is home to a variety of benches and a gas barbecue (available between April – September), providing a tranquil spot to enjoy the atmosphere and sunshine in the warmer months.
Please note that there is a path up from the garden gate, which is shared with the neighbouring cottage.

Booking & Payment

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

Old Farm Cottage is located at the end of a lane in the pretty hamlet of Ablington, just over a mile away from the well known village of Bibury. Enjoy a visit to The Swan, set on the enchanting banks of the River Coln, this former Cotswold coaching inn is the ultimate haven for a peaceful lunch or evening out!
For your shopping essentials, there is The Trout Farmshop or a local Co-Op, Tescos and Lidl stores can be found in the historic market town of Cirencester.
Daylesford Organic Farm shop, Chastleton House, Blenheim Palace and Batsford Arboretum are all nearby, not to mention the much loved Cotswold towns and villages of Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Campden, Broadway and Bourton-on-the-Water, none of which should be missed!

The Finer Details

  • Bed linen and towels are provided
  • Off-street parking for three cars at the rear of the property, accessed via a country track
  • 1 travel cot (without linen), high chair and safety gate (for bedroom 3) are available on request (please bring your own linen for the travel cot, as this is not provided). There is only room for the travel cot in bedroom 3, and this would limit the comfortable occupancy of the bedroom to one adult
  • Sorry, no pets. Please note that any breach of this booking policy will result in retention of part, or all, of the security deposit
  • Strong WiFi 
  • Mobile phone reception can be variable, depending on the provider, typically being better outside the property than inside
  • 1 Smart TV and 1 Freeview TV with Sky Sports and Movies package
  • Garden
  • Gas BBQ available between April-September (guests are responsible for cleaning the BBQ after use)
  • Oil fired central heating system and an immersion heater for hot water
  • Starter supply of wood provided for the wood burning stoves from October to Easter only
  • There are some steep, winding stairs and some low doorways
  • The property’s back garden is enclosed, however the front garden adjoins the neighbour’s garden, and they share a gate, which may sometimes be left open. Consequently, young children should be supervised outside at all times, particularly in the front garden
  • The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk
  • No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property

  • The maximum occupancy for this property, including its grounds, is six guests including infants in cots
  • Hen and Stag parties are not permitted, though other same sex groups can enquire
  • Commercial and work related bookings are not permitted
  • Events are not permitted without prior consent
  • A security deposit is required at this property
  • Check in is from 16:00 and check out is by 10:00
Security Deposit

A security deposit of £100 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date, providing no damage is reported the pre-authorisation will be released 5 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
