Blockley Cotswold Village

In Blockley itself, visitors may be surprised by the distinctly different feel compared to other North Cotswold villages. The unique collection of buildings reflect its past, when in the 18th century it transitioned from wool production to that of silk, in a series of mills situated along the fast-flowing Blockley Brook.

Slightly further afield, but within easy reach, is the National Trust treasure of Chastleton House. In the house itself, you can take in the spectacular artwork and admire the preservation project which took six painstaking years. Outside, you can enjoy a tour of the gardens where you can spot a 400-year-old tree, count the topiary in the Best Garden and even enjoy a game of croquet on the lawn in summer.

With so much to see and do in the area, you will be thankful that you can carve out your own corner of peace and quiet in your Cotswold cottage. Come to the delightful Cotswolds to escape the city life and recharge your batteries with a much slower pace of life.
