This cosy bolthole has a stylish open plan sitting/dining room, a well-equipped kitchen and two picturesque courtyard gardens with outdoor seating. Tucked away in the centre of bustling Cirencester, Castle Mews is a wonderful hidden gem with a wealth of character features including exposed oak beams, ledge and brace doors, exposed wall timbers and stable doors.

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

Castle Mews is located in historic Cirencester, a vibrant market town which benefits from a number of popular country pubs, tearooms, independent shops and restaurants. In Roman times, Cirencester was known as Corinium, when it was the second largest town in Britain, a history that is celebrated in the Corinium Museum.
For your shopping essentials, there are a number of supermarkets in Cirencester.
Cirencester is well-placed for visiting the many picturesque towns and villages of the region such as Tetbury, Painswick, Burford, Cheltenham, Bourton-on-the-Water and Chedworth, with the latter being home to the National Trust owned Roman Villa.

Security Deposit

A security deposit of £150 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date, providing no damage is reported the pre-authorisation will be released 5 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.

You can arrive and depart on any day you like, for 2 nights or more, however if you select Monday and/or Friday as your changeover days, you will achieve the optimum price.

Cirencester hosts Charter Markets every Monday and Friday in Market Place, and if visiting over the weekend, the Farmers’ Market comes to town every second and forth Saturday of the month. Jewellery, ales, cheeses and pastries are just a few of the stalls you’ll find – perfect for a little holiday indulgence!
