This impressive former coaching inn dates back to the 16th century when it used to house weary travellers, and still oozes original character and style with exposed beams, oak panelling and a Cotswold stone fireplace complete with wood burner. This family friendly home benefits from a designated parking space and a secluded garden which is separated from the cottage by the parking area. This beautiful outside space is an unexpected sanctuary and is the perfect place to unwind after exploring the bustling High Street.

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

Ostlers is situated in the heart of the picturesque, medieval market town of Burford, known as the southern gateway to the Cotswolds. The cottage itself sits on the famous hill of the High Street which descends from the high Wolds to the River Windrush, and is lined with ancient cottages and half-timbered houses. The town is home to a number of pubs, restaurants, shops and tearooms, and is surrounded by wonderful countryside, with many walks on its doorstep.
For your shopping essentials, there is a well-stocked Co-op, an excellent butchers, a cheese shop and deli in Burford, with larger supermarkets in Carterton and Witney.
Burford is well-placed for exploring the much-loved Cotswold towns and villages of Stow-on-the-Wold, Cirencester, Bourton-on-the-Water and Bibury, as well as the nearby attractions of the Cotswold Wildlife Park & Gardens, Crocodiles of the World and the fascinating city of Oxford.

Security Deposit

A security deposit of £250 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date and, providing no damage is reported, the pre-authorisation will be released 7 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
