Pickwick is a charming, beautifully refurbished Cotswold holiday home which comfortably sleeps 5+1 guests, in three bedrooms, with the +1 option being a trundle bed, with a spacious shower room. On the ground floor you'll find a large farmhouse-style kitchen complete with breakfast table, an inviting space to prepare and enjoy your favourite meals. There's also a separate dining room, ideal for gathering with family or friends over a relaxed, home-cooked dinner, and then there's the cosy sitting room which boasts a crackling open fire and retains its original floor tiles. To the rear of the cottage is the peaceful garden, perfect for morning coffees or afternoon bubbles. Pickwick is a dog friendly cottage, suitable for two medium sized dogs.

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

Pickwick is nestled in Churchill, a quintessential English village lined with honey-coloured stone cottages that exude character and charm. The village features an unusual Grade II listed neo-Gothic fountain and a striking church tower, adding to its unique appeal. At the heart of the village lies a spacious open green, surrounded by beautiful Cotswold countryside and a network of scenic walking paths leading to nearby villages. The Chequers is a traditional and rustic pub, popular with locals and visitors alike.
For your shopping essentials, there are a number of supermarkets and independent retailers in Chipping Norton, as well as local farm shops which include Diddly Squat and Daylesford Organic.
Churchill sits in the heart of the North Cotswolds and is perfectly placed for visiting the much-loved towns of Stow-on-the-Wold and Chipping Norton, as well as the picture postcard villages of Kingham, Lower Slaughter and Bourton-on-the-Water.   • The maximum occupancy for this property is 6 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 1 additional infant (aged 2 or under)

  • Travel cots and highchairs are not provided, so guests will need to bring these with them

  • Check in is from 16:00 and check out is by 10:00
  • Charging electric vehicles at this property is not permitted
  • The trundle bed is suitable for adults, though please note that when this bed is made up, there is limited space in this bedroom
  • Please note there is no access to the garage
  • The outhouse has a separate space to store bicycles and can be locked
Security Deposit

A security deposit of £250 is required for bookings at this property. We reserve the right to charge an amount up to the value of the security deposit to your payment card up to 7 days after your departure date. In some circumstances, we may require a pre-authorisation of the security deposit amount against your payment card 7 days prior to your arrival date, which will be released 7 days after your departure date, providing no damage is reported or excessive cleaning is required. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
