Set across one level, Tyte Cottage offers an open plan living space with wood burning stove and french doors leading to the patio and large garden. Up to two well-behaved dogs are also welcome to join you on your country escape.

Within the grounds you can find a vegetable garden, woodland area and small pond. Within the woodland area is a climbing frame and trampoline which guests with childen may use at their own risk

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

Located in the small village of Great Rollright, Tyte Cottage is a great bolt hole to base yourselves and your dogs for a stay in the countryside. With panoramic views across the valley, the cottage is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the Cotswolds, yet everywhere is still within easy reach by car, with Chipping Norton approximately three miles down the road and Moreton-in-Marsh just 15 minutes away, both offering a wide selection of eateries and shops. The Cotswold Distillery, distilling whiskey and gin, is just up the road, offering tours and tastings. Trust us, we have been and it's fantastic.
For your shopping essentials, head into Chipping Norton where there is a selection of shops with M&S Foodhall, Sainsburys and The Co-op.

  • The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk
  • No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property
Things to Note...
  • The maximum occupancy for this property is 4 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 1 additional infant
  • Hen and stag groups are not permitted
  • Commercial, work related and single sex groups are welcomed
  • Events are not permitted without prior consent
  • Please note, there is no washing machine at the property
  • The cottage is self contained within the grounds of Tyte Court where the owners live and can often be seen pottering in the garden, especially on weekends
  • The owners have a friendly Jack Russell so this property will only welcome dogs who are friendly with other dogs
  • Please note that the garden is not enclosed, so dogs will need to be supervised outside at all times, especially if they are not chicken friendly, although the chickens are contained in a dog-proof run
  • The studio above Tyte Cottage is used by a local artist during office hours on weekdays only
  • A security deposit is required at this property
  • Check in is from 16:00 and check out is by 10:00
Security Deposit

A security deposit of £150 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date and, providing no damage is reported, the pre-authorisation will be released 7 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
