Yew Barn & The Cottage are two luxuriously refurbished interconnecting barns, sleeping 10 guests in five spacious bedrooms with three well-appointed bathrooms. Each property has its own country chic living room with ample cosy seating, ideally placed to admire the stunning countryside views through the multiple expansive windows. Every detail of the properties has been carefully considered, from the handcrafted oak kitchen cabinetry to the welcoming bedrooms with handmade mattresses, all create a wonderful space to share with loved ones. During the warmer months, explore the communal grounds and facilities, enjoy some al fresco dining whilst soaking up the surrounding countryside. Two well-behaved dogs are also welcome at the property, making it an idyllic hideout to enjoy with loved ones!

This five bedroom Cotswold holiday home on the outskirts of Great Tew is perfectly suited for those looking to get together with family and friends, exploring the local countryside and eateries. The accommodation near Soho farmhouse is laid out as follows:

Located in a secluded barn complex, Yew Barn and The Cottage have access to the communal facilities including a courtyard with pagoda, boules, two barbecues, a multi-sports court featuring a moveable tennis net, two NBA-spec basketball hoops and two moveable football goals (this must be pre-booked, information on this can be found in the welcome letter)

Booking & Payment

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

This Cotswold holiday accommodation is located on the outskirts of picturesque Great Tew, an unspoilt village benefitting from a popular local country pub, The Falkland Arms. There are many footpaths throughout the local area, one of our favourites being the Little Tew circular walk which conveniently passes renowned cafe Quince and Clover- the perfect mid-walk pit stop!

The area is also spoilt for choice with an array of well-known eateries including The Royal Oak at Ramsden, The Wild Rabbit at Kingham and the Boxing Hare at Swerford. All of these destination country gastropubs and inns are situated just a short drive from the barns. If you are looking to celebrate a special occasion, or just treat your party, then we recommend using the Cotswold Guy, a private chef who can cook up a storm in the barn's kitchen whilst you relax.

For your shopping essentials, there is a Marks and Spencers Foodhall, Co-op and Sainbsurys superstore in Chipping Norton. Also, in the nearby town of Deddington is Eagles Fine Foods, an independent deli and butchers.
Great Tew sits in the heart of the North Cotswolds and is perfectly placed for visiting the much-loved towns of Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Norton and Oxford. Also within a short drive are the renowned Soho Farmhouse, Daylesford Organic and Diddly Squat farm shop.

  • Please be aware that there are steps throughout the properties and the staircases are tight in places
  • The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk
  • No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property

  • The maximum occupancy for this property is 10 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 2 additional infants

  • Check in is from 16:00 and check out is by 10:00
  • Yew Barn & The Cottage have lovely garden communal gardens in addition to the private patios, guests are encouraged to enjoy these and it is important to the owners that guests are courteous and considerate towards the neighbouring properties. We politely request that guests do not disturb the neighbours
Security Deposit

A security deposit of £400 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date and, providing no damage is reported, the pre-authorisation will be released 7 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
