Bonfire Night in the Cotswolds
There is something particularly special about Bonfire Night in the Cotswolds. Against the darkness of the countryside, bonfires glow brighter, fireworks feel more spectacular and the scent of woodsmoke hangs in the crisp autumn air. Add sparklers, hot chocolate and something warming for the grown-ups, and you have all the ingredients for a memorable evening together.
From grand displays at historic venues to much-loved village celebrations, there are plenty of places across the Cotswolds to mark Guy Fawkes Night in 2026. Here are some of the best displays taking place this autumn:
24th October – Airborne & Ground Fireworks Display, Cotswold Gliding Club
Aston Down’s celebrations begin with a spectacular pyrotechnic air display, followed by the lighting of the bonfire and a ground-based fireworks display from an award-winning team. Arrive early to enjoy funfair rides, food stalls, pumpkin carving and family activities before the skies light up.

8th November – Ducklington Fireworks Spectacular
Just outside Witney, Ducklington Fireworks Spectacular combines an award-winning display with a roaring bonfire, funfair, monster truck rides and street food. A quieter children’s display takes place at 6pm, followed by the bonfire at 7pm and the main show at 7.30pm.

26th October – Five Valleys Fireworks, Marling School Playing Field
A Stroud tradition for more than 50 years, Five Valleys Fireworks features a spectacular display choreographed to music by Star Fireworks. There will also be a funfair, children’s entertainment and hot food, with proceeds helping to support good causes across the Five Valleys.
7th November – Dursely Fireworks, Dursley Recreation Ground
Celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2026, Dursley Fireworks will feature two ten-minute displays: a quieter, gentler show followed by a second filled with bigger bangs. Gates open at 5pm and the fireworks begin at 6pm, with no advance booking required.

TBC November – Guiting Power Bonfire and Fireworks
Dates are not yet released for the 2026 Guiting Power Bonfire and Fireworks. Each year they take place at the Guiting Power playing field, where visitors can enjoy food and drinks from the bar which opens at 5pm, the bonfire is lit at 5:45pm and the fireworks display is 6.30pm.

7th November – Miserden Fireworks – Miserden
Miserden’s village display brings together a huge bonfire and professional fireworks from Skyburst, with mulled wine, hot chocolate and plenty of food to keep everyone warm. Children can also dance the evening away at the glow-in-the-dark disco, with proceeds supporting Miserden School. Find out more and book tickets>>
Dates not yet available – Far Peak
Enjoy food, drinks and fireworks at Far Peak, a local destination featuring local businesses, sporting activities and a wonderful Old Smokery cafe and bar. But with an eye on the environment there will be no bonfire – however we are sure the fireworks will be a fabulous highlight and the local food stalls will keep visitors well fed.

Combining Bonfire Night spectacle with Halloween fun, South Cerney’s Spooktacular features musical fireworks, an immersive light show and a blazing bonfire. Younger visitors can enjoy an earlier singalong display, alongside fairground rides, monster trucks and a Halloween fancy-dress competition.

6th November – Shipston Sports and Social Club, Shipston-on-Stour
The ever popular Bonfire and Fireworks Night returns to Shipston Sports Club this year. Expect all the usual entertainment with live music, food stalls, three licensed bars and plenty more for all ages. Their gates open at 5pm, with the bonfire lit at around 6.30pm and fireworks from 7pm. Organisers suggest booking in advance via their Eventbrite page.
