Cotswold Festivals

The Feastival

Alex James’ Farm, the Cotswolds.

If you have never heard of it, you’re in for a serious treat. A glamorous (and gastronomic) Glastonbury! This Cotswold festival is an eclectic mix of non-stop amazing artists, celebrity chefs and fun activities for all the family. This year, Rag ‘n’ Bone Man, Sigala, Nile Rogers & Chic, amongst many others, will entertain you musically. Then, there are celebrity chefs including Nathan Outlaw and Matt Tebbutt, on stage, demonstrating their culinary skills and offering you the opportunity to participate in one of the interactive cooking schools. Finally, there are rides and entertainers (and CBeebies star Justin Fletcher!) to keep the kids amused.

The music is across several stages and includes many household names and fantastic up and coming bands. There are also DJs to keep the energy and tunes flowing! Gastronomically, there are supper clubs, award-winning street food markets and pop-up stalls…. Just so much to choose from, we want to try everything! The Cotswolds Feastival is truly not to be missed. Memorable music and great grub. Add a few bottles of your favourite and it’ll be an August bank holiday you’ll never forget.

Although weekend tickets are already sold out, there are still day tickets so don’t wait. So why not tie this in with a stay in our Big Feastival accommodation? There is a simply fabulous choice of food, an amazing selection of music and a whole heap of fun!

The Feastival - Cotswold Festival

The Phoenix Festival

Cirencester

Set in the town’s Abbey Grounds, this 2-day action packed Cotswold Festival is run exclusively by the local youth and community folk. They are proud to be the Cotswold’s only free festival. Over 40 acts will entertain you culminating in tribute acts Bruno Mars and Michael Jackson on Saturday and Sunday respectively. If you’ve always fancied yourself as the next pop star, there is even an ‘Open Mike’ stage for you to show off your talents!

Like the ‘Feastival’, there are masses of food stalls to tempt you and pop-up bars that will quench that thirst. If you need to keep the younger ones amused, fear not. There are a whole host of children’s activities and arts and crafts areas to entertain the family. You can even bring your own picnic (though all alcohol must be purchased inside the Abbey) and your pets!

Gloucester Goes Retro!

Gloucester

Feeling a tad nostalgic? Yearning for days gone by? If so, this wonderful August bank holiday event is definitely for you. Set down near Gate Streets and the Gloucester Docks, this is a real look back in time. Over 500 vintage cars, some dating back over a century, proudly showing us all what classic cars really are. From a James Bond Aston Martin to obsolete brands like Alvis or Triumph cars, the classic cars on display are a must to see.

Once you have strolled through the hundreds of simply beautiful vintage vehicles, maybe it’s time for a dance and to listen to some 78s! Visit the stage and watch the old swing dancing. It may be the antithesis of Michael Jackson or Bruno Mars, however, we’re sure the moves will amuse and entertain you and the beauty of it is, that you are free to participate yourself.

Actually, on that very note, you can actually take part in the festival and create your own sensational retro look! If you would like to be part of the whole event, then please contact ‘Gloucester Goes Retro’ and join the party! Whether that is in appropriate dress, or by bringing your own classic car to the show, matters not, it is simply to join the fun and have another wonderful day out in the Cotswolds.
