10% off creative and craft workshops for StayCotswold Guests

So, you’re coming to the Cotswolds and are starting to think about what you will do while here. Perhaps you are coming for a romantic break, a family holiday or a getaway with a group of friends? Larkswold Creative Workshops is a local business run by two best friends Melinda & Emma who have created a destination to suit all of those groups and is a little different to other Cotswold tourist attractions.

When visiting an area there’s often a lot of walking and sightseeing, which can get a bit tiring (especially if the weather turns bad) and doesn’t always suit everyone in your party. At Larkswold you will be ‘doing’ not just ‘looking’ which is so much more rewarding & memorable – a joint experience which will bring your group together.
Exploring a new craft is a really fun activity and with the support of friendly tutors plus the addition of delicious homemade cakes and freshly brewed coffee you can immerse yourself in the moment.

With a genuine warm & relaxing environment, dog friendly Larkswold runs creative workshops throughout the year (suitable from age 10 to 110!) in its picturesque countryside setting near Stow-on-the-Wold and Moreton in Marsh.

There’s a diary of workshops ready for you to book into via their website, or if there are 4 or more in your group get in touch with Melinda & Emma to book a bespoke session on a date that suits you.

What kind of creative workshop would you like to try? Larkswold run all kinds of sessions including Heritage crafts such as Willow Sculpture and Basket weaving (both full day workshops) Silversmithing (3 hours or full days) alongside Scented Candle Making, Arm Knitting, Block Printing, Glass Fusing, Resin jewellery, Lampshade Making and Wreaths to name but a few.

Seating up to 18 people and overlooking a river and wild meadow the Larkswold studio is the perfect place to unwind, get in the flow, connect with your fellow crafters to spend a few rewarding hours. Workshops usually run 10-1pm or 2-5pm Thursday-Saturday with other days available upon request.

So, what else is in the area? The local Larkswold ladies recommend Stow-on-the-Wold which is just a 5 minute drive away with a great choice of pubs & restaurants, antiques shops & galleries. Daylesford Organic Farm Shop is just around the corner from Larkswold and is a must, a lovely place to shop (if you’ve got deep pockets!) or just to get inspiration. If you’re not staying for a Larkswold lunch after your workshop then perhaps pop over to the highly rated pub ‘The Fox’ at Oddington which is less than 5 minutes away or ‘The Plough’ at Kingham is another favourite (booking recommended at both) Lastly if you’re lucky to plan your visit when Berrybank Amphitheatre has an event on then that is also a must. Just up the road from the Larkswold studio, Berrybank hosts fabulous plays & musical events in the most glorious countryside setting with breathtaking views. The perfect way to round off a day to remember.
