Fosseside House is an excellently located Cotswold holiday home which sleeps ten guests, in five welcoming bedrooms, with four bathrooms. This double fronted property is deceptively spacious, with an attached annexe at the rear, housing additional living space including a games room! With all this space and its central location, there is something for everyone in the party to enjoy, from a meander along the river, to cosying up by the wood burner or enjoying a game of table football, the whole group can relax comfortably together. This much-loved holiday home exudes understated elegance with high quality, contemporary fixtures seamlessly blended with the houses early 20th century features, shown through the beautiful bay windows, cast iron fireplace and wood burning stove.

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

Bourton-on-the-Water, also known as the 'Venice of the Cotswolds' is a bustling Cotswold village with a good selection of pubs, restaurants, tearooms and shops. We personally love Smiths of Bourton for gourmet burgers and cocktails and The Cornish Bakery offering all kinds of baked treats! There is a fantastic offering of activities for children to enjoy and you are only a short drive to other famous Cotswold towns like Stow-on-the-Wold and Burford.

For your shopping essentials, there is a Londis on the high street or on the outskirts of Bourton-on-the-Water is a larger Co-op.

The maximum occupancy for this property is 10 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 2 additional infants (aged 2 or under)

Bedroom 2 is located in an annexe which can be accessed via its own staircase through the kitchen (there is also a door in the bedroom leading directly onto the main house first floor landing)

Security Deposit

A security deposit of £350 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date and, providing no damage is reported, the pre-authorisation will be released 7 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.

We was all very pleased with the Fossieside house we have been to bourton on the water in November for about 20 years and have stayed in various cottages and houses and this was one of the best and hope to use this company in the future

We stayed at Fosseside House for 6 nights. It's so homely and welcoming, with everything you could possibly need inside. The kitchen is excellently equipped to cook a full roast dinner! Several of us needed to work from home for a couple of days during the stay and the house was big enough to let us do that, with no problems with WiFi etc - we even had a room each! We had minor issues with the outside lights, but Eileen went excellent and arranged for someone to fix them before the end of our stay. It's an easy 5-10 min walk into Bourton-on-the-Water, with easy access to other walks, as well as roads to other locations within the Cotswolds. I would highly recommend this house and we will certainly stay there again, if we've in the area!

We had a fantastic week at Fosseside House. There were ten of us and we weren't on top of each other - plenty of room to be together but find space when needed. The games room provided hours of fun and everything worked as it should - there were no frustrations. The location is brilliant for exploring the Cotswolds. Obviously there's Bourton just a short walk away, but Stow, Moreton, Chipping Camden and Diddly Squat are all within 25 mins drive maximum - that was plenty to keep us occupied in a week which was very chilled anyway. A couple fo things were misse din the cleaning, hence the 4 out of 5 score there, but it's a big place and it's only human to miss somethings. But this is a very minor complaint, it certainly didn't detract from the wonderful week at Fosseside.
