Blossom Barn is a light and welcoming self catering Cotswold cottage near Faringdon with disabled access which has been lovingly converted to a high standard whilst maintaining much of the character and charm of the original barn. The open-plan kitchen & living area features original beams and there are 2 lovely bedrooms. It is all on one level and has an accessible shower room, so is ideal for the less mobile. Part of the Goodlake Barns complex, Blossom Barn can be booked with other barns to cater for up to 28 guests. The barn it is situated in the small village of Shellingford, only 3 miles from Faringdon.

Accommodation
This two bedroom holiday home in Shellingford, near Faringdon, is perfect for families or small groups of friends looking for a relaxing break. The Cotswold accommodation is laid out as follows:

Living
Open-plan kitchen/living area with original beams and underfloor heating. The Kitchen/diner equipped with gas hob and oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and all the utensils you need to make a fabulous meal for friends and family. At one end of the open plan kitchen/living area you will find the kitchen and a wooden table which can seat 4. To the other end there is the living areas with two comfortable sofas, Smart TV with DVD player. Beautiful glass panels stretch the whole length of the kitchen/living area which allows light to pour in, and provides access through large french doors in to the courtyard.

Bedrooms
Primary bedroom: Super-king size bed with wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside tables.
Bedroom 2: Twin with chest of drawers, bedside drawers and en-suite shower room with enclosed shower, loo, sink, mirror and heated towel rail.
Separate accessible wet room with wc, sink, mirror, shower and towel hanger.

Outside
Enclosed communal courtyard with outdoor seating in front of the property.
Plenty of private parking, please do car share where possible.

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Bloom Barns is situated in the picturesque Oxfordshire village, located in the Vale of the White Horse with magnificent views across the Vale to the Uffington White Horse and the Berkshire Downs. You can find a range of amenities including supermarkets, coffee shops, pubs and restaurants and a select few shops, just 3 miles away in

staycotswold.com/location/oxfordshire/faringdon/">Faringdon. The Barns are just a 30 minute drive from Oxford and is excellently located to explore everything which the Cotswolds have to offer. While you are here don't forget to visit; The Cotswold Wildlife Park, Blenheim Palace, the historic town of Burford, Broadway Tower, Folly Tower and the Cotswold Water Park to name a few! There is a fantastic authentic English country pub located 2 miles down the road in the village of Fernham called the Woodman arms, they use freshly-prepared, seasonal ingredients to create wholesome, hearty and delicious meals to delight the senses!

Accessibility and Health and Safety

The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk.

Security Deposit/Accidental Damage Waiver

Bookings at this property require either a £150 Security Deposit or payment of a non-refundable Accidental Damage Waiver. Where you choose a Security Deposit and we have your payment card details on file (for your security, these details are tokenised), we have the right to charge an amount up to the value of the Security Deposit to your payment card up to seven days after your departure date. In some circumstances, we may require a pre-authorisation of the Security Deposit amount against your payment card seven days prior to your arrival date, which will be released seven days after your departure date, providing no damage is reported or excessive cleaning is required. You may choose to waive the requirement for a Security Deposit by paying for an Accidental Damage Waiver at checkout. This is a non-refundable payment that covers the cost of any accidental damage or breakages to the property or its contents, up to the value of the Security Deposit. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.

This place was a bit deflating. I'd recently spent some time in several other cottages of a much higher standard in the same price range.The furnishings and décor are tired and there was a musky smell throughout the property.It's not particularly clean. The skirting boards were thick with dust in lots of places. There's mould in the wet room, which remains wet and damp for most of the day after a shower in the morning. The cutlery was grubby.There are several other rental places on the same site and the goldfish bowl design of the building means you can see how long the cleaners spend preparing the cottages for the next guests, which is about 20 minutes.Perhaps most disappointing of all was the noise from the neighbouring cottage and the lorries using the road immediately behind one of the bedrooms to access the farm. Part of the stay was spent enduring some children who seemed to be living in a different time zone and played loudly from 1-3am. After they left, the next guest in the same cottage could be heard snoring throughout the night, so the walls are clearly not very soundproof.The Lamb at Buckland was the highlight of the visit. Excellent food and very reasonably priced.

Goodlake Barns are a perfect location for visiting the Cotswolds. Our accommodation in Blossom Barn was was extremely comfortable, clean and equipped with all neccessary items including towels and soap dispensers. An extra nice touch were the complimentary buiscuits. After a full day touring the area, it was nice to return to a quiet, homely atmosphere. My wife is disabled, so being on one level, Blossom Barn was perfect for her needs. I think we will return.
