Built from traditional ironstone, this 19th century cottage has been lovingly renovated to combine period features with modern high end amenities. This quintessential countryside retreat offers a spacious open plan kitchen/diner and welcoming sitting room to relax in whilst soaking up the warmth from the wood burning stove. With a tranquil wrap-around garden, idyllic village location and a multitude of activities on its doorstep, even accepting one small dog, this dog friendly holiday cottage is a relaxing and romantic bolthole to share with loved ones.

In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

Located in the village of Lower Brailes, Brook Cottage is a great countryside escape to base yourselves for a stay in the Cotswolds. Lower Brailes is located on the Warwickshire/Oxfordshire border in the North Cotswolds, this charming village benefits from a welcoming pub, The George, a local butchers and other independent shops.Throughout the village, Sutton Brook weaves through the streets adding to the picturesque views on offer. Blow away the cobwebs with a lovely walk to one of the neighbouring villages along one of the numerous country footpaths. Our favourites are the peaceful walks to Whichford, Cherington and Winderton.
Shipston-on-Stour is the closest town, about four miles away, offering a wide selection of shops, supermarkets and eateries, the go to place for your shopping essentials during your stay. Nearby attractions of Whichford Pottery, National Trust's Upton House and The Cotswold Distillery are all within an easy 20 minute drive of the cottage. We recommend The Cotswold Distillery who offer experiences and guided tours of their detailed gin and whisky distillery, definitely worth a visit especially when combined with their lovely on-site cafe!
Further afield, the popular Cotswold towns of Moreton-in-Marsh, Stow-on-the-Wold and Chipping Norton are within a 30 minute drive, as well as the picture postcard villages of Broadway, Lower Slaughter and Blockley. Discover more about what's on in the Cotswolds via our guide.

  • No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property

  • The maximum occupancy for this property is 4 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 1 additional infant
  • Events are not permitted without prior consent
  • A security deposit is required at this property
  • Check in is from 17:00 and check out is by 10:00
Security Deposit

A security deposit of £150 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date, providing no damage is reported the pre-authorisation will be released 5 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
