Church Mews is a former library built from classic honey coloured Cotswold stone which sleeps 4 guests, in two well-appointed bedrooms. This family friendly holiday home features a family bathroom plus a cloakroom. On the ground floor you have a beautifully presented open-plan living area which has been elegantly styled to create a contemporary yet cosy home away from home. Character features such as high vaulted ceilings and painted wooden beams beautifully complement the modern design, and there is off-street parking readily available for one car in the private car park at the front of the property.

This grade II listed two bedroom Cotswold holiday cottage in Painswick is perfectly suited to a small family or a couple who are looking to explore the local countryside and eateries. The accommodation is laid out as follows:

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

Church Mews is located in the picturesque town of Painswick, an unspoilt town benefitting from having a variety of popular pubs including The Falcon Inn and The Oak, restaurants, tea rooms, independent shops and an enjoyable 18-hole golf course. Painswick is surrounded glorious walking country and is a great base for walkers. For your shopping essentials, there is a small convenience store and off licence, Premier stores in the centre of the town and Co-op and Tesco stores are located in Stroud.
Painswick sits in the heart of the Cotswolds and is perfectly placed for visiting the much loved towns of Stroud, Nailsworth and Cirencester, and further afield destinations such as Bath, Hereford and Oxford are within easy reach for day trips.

Security Deposit

A security deposit of £200 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date, providing no damage is reported the pre-authorisation will be released 5 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
