On the ground floor you have a stylish open plan kitchen/dining room, a spacious sitting room with a roaring wood burner and a fabulous drawing room which looks out across the stunning wrap-around garden. Finished in a contemporary style, this wonderful dog friendly home overlooks the peaceful village of Naunton and is within six miles of both Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold.

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

Hillside is located in Naunton, a picturesque village surrounded by wonderful countryside with many footpaths on its doorstep. The Windrush Way heads towards bustling Bourton-on-the-Water, and the Wardens' Way takes you to Guiting Power, an attractive village with two country pubs, a tearoom and The Cotswold Guy, a fantastic farm shop and café.
For your shopping essentials, there is a Co-op in Bourton-on-the-Water and a Tesco Superstore in Stow-on-the-Wold.
Naunton sits in the heart of the North Cotswolds and is perfectly placed for visiting Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Campden and Cheltenham, as well as the picture postcard villages of Broadway, Lower Slaughter and Blockley.

  • Strong WiFi (Download speed 300 Mbps) - WiFi can be intermittent in the drawing room and bedroom 2 due to the size of the property and the stone walls
  • Mobile phone reception is generally good
  • 2 Smart TVs, one of which has Apple TV (guests to use their own login details)

  • Charcoal BBQ, April to September only (guests are responsible for providing charcoal and cleaning BBQ after use)
  • Oil fired central heating system
  • Starter supply of wood provided for the wood burning stove from October to April only
  • The bedrooms in the eaves have some sloping ceilings, and as the property’s large lawn is on a slope, young children should be supervised outside at all times. In addition to this, the owner has politely requested that children do not climb on the dry-stone walls for their own safety
  • The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk
  • No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property
Things to Note...
  • The maximum occupancy for this property is 12 guests, though the number of adults per booking is capped at 8. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 3 additional infants
  • Hen and Stag parties are not permitted, though other same sex groups can enquire
  • Events are not permitted without prior consent
  • A security deposit is required at this property
  • Check in is from 17:00 and check out is by 10:00
  • Hillside has a lovely garden for guests to enjoy and it is important to the owners that guests are courteous and considerate towards the neighbouring properties. We politely request that guests do not disturb the neighbours and that loud music is not played outside after 21:00
  • The garden is maintained by a professional gardening service every Wednesday. This work will be completed as quickly as possible and with as little disturbance as possible to guests
Security Deposit

A security deposit of £350 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date, providing no damage is reported the pre-authorisation will be released 5 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
