Keepers Lodge is a collection of beautiful properties with stunning views in their own private setting. The three properties combined sleep 14+1 guests, in seven beautiful bedrooms, with the +1 option being a single sofa bed, with five bathrooms. This is an exceptional group of properties, offering an incredible experience for friends and family. Comprised of the main house, annexe and converted stable, there is plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the multitude of activities on site. Each property is tastefully decorated with lavish furnishings in a mixture of country and contemporary styles. Within the grounds, enjoy a heated outdoor swimming pool, a pool house, a hot tub, multiple outdoor games and an enchanting woodland to explore. A truly unforgettable setting for a remarkable stay, and you can also take your four-legged friends in the dog friendly holiday home!

Booking & Payment

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

Keepers Lodge is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is situated close to the delightful village of Cranham, home to The Black Horse Inn, a wonderful country pub. There are many popular Cotswold attractions nearby including the National Trust owned Ebworth Centre, Painswick's Rococo Garden and the Slimbridge Wetland Centre.
For your shopping essentials, the nearest is the village shop in Miserden, though there are larger supermarkets in Brockworth.
Cranham is ideally located for exploring the towns and villages of the South Cotswolds such as Painswick, Cirencester, Stroud and Minchinhampton, and is also within easy reach of Gloucester, Cheltenham and the Royal Forest of Dean for a day trip. The Finer Details

  • The maximum occupancy for this property is 15 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 6 additional infants (aged 2 or under) 
  • Bed linen and towels are provided
  • Off street parking is available for up to 8 cars
  • 3 travel cots and 2 highchairs are available on request (please bring your own linen for the travel cots, as this is not provided)

  • Starter supply of wood provided for the wood burning stove and open fire at Keepers House from October to April only
  • Although Keepers Stable is laid out over a single storey, there is a step into the property
  • Keepers Annexe is accessed via steep external stairs
  • Please note that there is a swimming pool and pond, so children, infants, pets and those that cannot swim must be supervised when outside at all times
  • The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk
  • No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property
Things to Note...
  • Hen and Stag parties are not permitted, though other same sex groups can enquire 
  • Events are not permitted without prior consent
  • A security deposit is required at this property
  • Check in is from 17:00 and check out is by 10:00
  • Keepers Annexe is located above the owner's garage (there are times of the year when this will be in use, however efforts have been taken to minimise noise)
  • The garden is regularly maintained by a professional gardening service on a Wednesday. If you require further information, please don’t hesitate to contact us
  • Charging electric vehicles at this property is not permitted (there is an EV charger at Brockworth Garage)
  • The zip wire and campfire area can be used by guests, however, please note that this is at your own risk and that children should always be supervised by adults
  • There are Ring cameras in the courtyard, and on the property entrances, however, these do not look into the windows, hot tub nor swimming pool
Security Deposit

A security deposit of £700 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date and, providing no damage is reported, the pre-authorisation will be released 7 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
