We were 4 girlfriends staying for just 3 nights, wanting to walk & not do much driving once we arrived. The location of Rose Tree Cottage was just perfect for this. We did 2 fabulous walks both of which we'd highly recommend. The Laurie Lee Wildlife Walk (leaflet in the cottage) where we drove a few miles to near Slad & parked up & walked, and the next day from the cottage up to Roxborough Common, a loop walk, a fabulous Sunday lunch at the Bear of Roxborough, and back to the cottage. The cottage itself is very comfortable with absolutely everything you could possibly need. 3 inside sitting areas, if you include the dining table, and 2 outdoor sitting areas, with plenty of other outdoor chairs to place where you fancy. If you're there on a Saturday, then Stroud market is a must and if vegan food is your thing then we really enjoyed a meal at 'Karibu'. All in all, both the cottage and the area are highly recommended, and we're already talking about maybe going back to this area next year and possibly even to Rose Tree Cottage.

Thank you so so much Helen for your glowing review! We are delighted to hear that yourself and your girlfriends had a wonderful stay at Rose Tree Cottage. on top of that, thank you for all your lovely recommendations. We hope to welcome you back with StayCotswold again next year.

We arrived at 2am after a long drive from Scotland. The cottage was so welcoming - warm, comfortable and beautiful. We had everything we needed in the cottage, and really appreciated all the outdoor spaces with eating areas and space for the kids to play. We enjoyed trips into Stroud, Rodborough Common, and a lovely visit to Westonbirt Arboretum. We would highly recommend Rose Tree Cottage.

Thankyou for your wonderful review Chloe! We are delighted to hear that you had a lovely stay, and we agree that it is a beautiful base to explore the Cotswolds from. We hope to welcome you back again in the future.
