The Barn By The Ford is a beautiful thatched Cotswold holiday cottage which sleeps two guests (no children aged 17 or under permitted except for one infant aged two or under), in one enchanting bedroom, with a stylish shower room. On the ground floor you will find a thoughtfully designed kitchen complete with countryside essentials such as an Aga and a marble-topped island, alongside charming touches including an optics bar for evening drinks. Upstairs, a cosy sitting room awaits with a velvet sofa and loveseat, and this leads into the romantic bedroom where a brass-framed bed, exposed stone walls and twinkling fairy lights create a truly magical retreat. The Barn By The Ford is a dog friendly cottage, welcoming one medium sized dog. Whilst there is no outside space, the surrounding countryside and nearby village walks provide plenty of opportunities for four-legged guests to stretch their legs.

In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.
For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.
All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Situated between Oxford and Banbury, Middle Barton offers easy access to some of the area's most beloved towns including Woodstock, home to the magnificent Blenheim Palace, and Chipping Norton, with its independent shops and cafés. Nearby villages have their own charm too, with canal walks in Lower Heyford, the lively, monthly Farmers' Market in Deddington and tenpin bowling in Upper Heyford, and for those looking to indulge in designer shopping, Bicester Village is only ten miles away. A security deposit of £150 is required for bookings at this property. We reserve the right to charge an amount up to the value of the security deposit to your payment card up to 7 days after your departure date. In some circumstances, we may require a pre-authorisation of the security deposit amount against your payment card 7 days prior to your arrival date, which will be released 7 days after your departure date, providing no damage is reported or excessive cleaning is required. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
