The New Bakehouse is a newly built, contemporary Cotswold holiday home near Stroud which sleeps six guests across three bright and spacious bedrooms, two of which are ensuite. On the groundfloor is the master bedroom and an open plan living space, both with bi-fold doors leading onto the large patio and garden. During the cooler months, make the most of the stylish wood burning stove and in the summer months enjoy BBQ's in the garden whilst soaking up the views. The New Bakehouse is also a dog friendly holiday home and welcomes up to two medium sized dogs.

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

The New Bakehouse is located on the edge of the village of Randwick situated on a hillside in the stunning “five valleys” region, giving guests the opportunity for many rewarding walks and cycle routes on the doorstep, along with two popular pubs the Vine Tree Inn and the Carpenters Arms both within walking distance and bordering the market town of Stroud (named by The Sunday Times as the best place to live in the UK in 2021) with its eclectic mix of galleries, cafes and shops and Farmers Market every Saturday. A short drive away is the wonderful Slimbridge Wetland Centre a 100 acre site of stunning wetlands and diverse wildlife. Further afield there is the wonderful cities of Bath, Hereford and Oxford all perfect for a day out.
For your shopping essentials, there is a Waitrose, Sainsburys and Tesco Superstore just two miles away in Stroud.

  • Bed linen and towels are provided - bedding is hypoallergenic 
  • Off street parking is available for up to 3 cars on the gravel driveway
  • 1 travel cot, 1 highchair and 1 stair gate are available on request (please bring your own linen for the travel cot, as this is not provided)

  • The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk
  • No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property
Things to Note...
  • The maximum occupancy for this property is 6 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 2 additional infants
  • Hen and Stag parties are not permitted, though other same sex groups are welcome
  • Commercial and work related bookings are not permitted
  • Events are not permitted without prior consent
  • A security deposit is required at this property
  • Check in is from 16:00 and check out is by 10:00
Security Deposit

A security deposit of £250 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date and, providing no damage is reported, the pre-authorisation will be released 7 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
