The Old Vicarage, built in 1912 by a local architect, is a beautifully refurbished Cotswold holiday home, offering an elegant escape for up to nine guests (no children aged seven or under permitted except for two babes in arms). Set over three floors, there are five opulent bedrooms and four spacious bathrooms. The heart of the home is the stylish, fully equipped kitchen with central island, perfect for preparing leisurely breakfasts or evening feasts. The generous sitting/dining room is designed for entertaining, complete with ample seating and direct access to the terraces and gardens. StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

The Old Vicarage is located on the edge of picturesque Aldsworth, an unspoilt village benefitting from a popular country pub. Just a short drive away is the delightful market town of Northleach, rich in architectural interest dating from the 15th and 16th centuries, with the impressive church of St Peter and St Paul which remains one of the finest examples of the Cotswold perpendicular style. The lovely market town of Burford, home to many eateries and shops, is a mere four miles away and is known as the gateway to the Cotswolds.
For your shopping essentials, there are supermarkets in Northleach, Burford and Carterton.

  • The maximum occupancy for this property is 9 guests. Regrettably, The Old Vicarage does not accept children under the age of 8, excluding babes in arms. Babes in arms do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 2 additional babes in arms
  • Bed linen and towels are provided
  • Off street parking is available for up to 4 cars
  • Travel cots and highchairs are not provided, so guests will need to bring these with them

  • No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property

  • The Old Vicarage has a lovely garden for guests to enjoy and it is important to the owners that guests are courteous and considerate towards the neighbouring properties. We politely request that guests do not disturb the neighbours and that loud music is not played outside after 22:00
  • The garden is regularly maintained by a professional gardening service and although this work is generally carried out when the property is vacant, the gardener may need to carry out work whilst the property is occupied. If you require further information, please don’t hesitate to contact us
  • Charging electric vehicles at this property is not permitted
  • No access is permitted to the garden annexe
Security Deposit

A security deposit of £500 is required for bookings at this property. We reserve the right to charge an amount up to the value of the security deposit to your payment card up to 7 days after your departure date. In some circumstances, we may require a pre-authorisation of the security deposit amount against your payment card 7 days prior to your arrival date, which will be released 7 days after your departure date, providing no damage is reported or excessive cleaning is required. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
