The Puzzle House is a cosy Cotswold holiday cottage which sleeps four guests (no children aged eight or under permitted), in two spacious bedrooms, both with their own ensuites. There is a warm and inviting atmosphere throughout the property, especially within the cosy sitting room with its plush soft furnishings, making it a true home from home. The tasteful interiors and thoughtful colour scheme continue into the generous kitchen, which effortlessly flows into the courtyard, a wonderful setting for an al fresco breakfast. The Puzzle House is tucked away in Moreton-in-Marsh, a characterful town full of boutique shops and eateries!

The Puzzle House can be booked either on its own, or with Highgate which sleeps four guests in the adjacent property.

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

The Puzzle House is situated in the Cotswold town of Moreton-in-Marsh, with its array of shops, delightful tearooms and restaurants. A few standout places to visit are The Cotswold Cheese Company's shop (an absolute must for the foodie), Martha's Coffee House and Otis & Belle for one of their delicious pastries. Other wonderful places to visit are Batsford Arboretum, The Cotswold Wildlife Park and Hidcote Gardens. This makes Moreton-in-Marsh a fabulous place to stay, especially as there is a train station within walking distance which has services to Oxford and London! For your shopping essentials, there is a Co-op and Tesco Express within walking distance and an Aldi Superstore on the edge of town.
Moreton-in-Marsh sits in the heart of the North Cotswolds and is perfectly placed for visiting the much-loved towns and villages of Winchcombe, Chipping Campden, Stratford-upon-Avon, Broadway and Blockley.

Security Deposit

A security deposit of £200 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date and, providing no damage is reported, the pre-authorisation will be released 7 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.

Fantastic location , very clean and comfortable cottage all the rooms were very nice and a well designed and fort out layout , for shaw will come back . Just a shame small dogs are not allowed .

Beautifully presented house with everything you could need. So easy to park up and forget the car to be honest. Sofas and bed are slightly on the firm side but that wasn't an issue for me although my partner would've preferred softer. You can never please everyone and only mention it for anyone who needs softness. Overall the place is even better than it looks in the pictures.

We stayed at The Puzzle House for two weeks. The house was brand new, well equipped, tastefully decorated, sparkling clean, located right in the middle of the beautiful market town, with shops, train and bus stations within a 2-3 minute walk -- an ideal base for visiting the Cotswolds. Helen and other staff members were responsive, personable, addressing all our needs, and making us feel very much at home. Wifi was strong, we were able to work remotely from every corner of the house, having Zoom/Teams video calls easily. We highly recommend Helen and her team, as well as The Puzzle House. A five-star experience for a well traveled family!
