One bedroom Cotswold holiday accommodation in Stow-on-the-Wold

My wife and I dearly wanted to love Trinity. It's charming, well designed, homey, cute, and ridiculously well located. Unfortunately it was also extremely hot during our late May stay which made sleeping extraordinarily difficult. First the good: The location is simply outstanding, with pubs, shopping, and a grocery store all very nearby. The full kitchen is quite nice, with every standard need attended to. The milk and cookies was a pleasant touch. The couch is comfortable and the layout is overall well done for a couple. As a miscellaneous note, the bath towels are superb, thick and large. The less good: The reason we booked Trinity was because of the king bed. The problem is, the bed is a queen. I do not think that the misstatement was done out of malice but you should know. Parking nearby can be quite onerous depending on your luck and perseverance. There are few outlets and no USB charging slots anywhere near the bed which is a bit unusual these days. Ultimately though, our only real gripe rests with the temperature. For what looks to be fairly new construction to build Trinity and her neighbors my wife and I were surprised that there was no air conditioning. There was a thermostat which was confusing and - unlike every other appliance, including the tea kettle - had no manual but kept going into the 23+ degree range downstairs. That meant that the hot air was rising to the sleeping area which made sleeping extremely difficult. There were a couple of small fans inside but they couldn't handle the task of cooling adequately. We tried opening the windows which helped a bit but the tradeoff was bright enough light to read a car license plate across the street at 5:30 in the morning from our bed, with traffic sounds beginning soon after. Even the waking at at 5:30 AM on holiday from light coming in aside, there was also the modestly consideration of line of sight from the bed as well. I would suggest either a box fan in the window or offer/rent a portable air conditioning unit to mitigate the heat during warmer periods. We adored a lot about Trinity and if some viable way was available to cool the upstairs for sleeping without having light pour in at 5:30 in the morning we would cheerfully come back for a week or more.

Could not recommend highly enough. One recommendation though is don't arrive in Stow on the Wold in the dark as the exact location of the property and finding a parking spot was a bit of a challenge. But it was worth the effort because once found we were delighted with Trinity. It was very well equipped warm and very clean. The old building had been converted into apartments and had been done to a very high spec. A nice touch was finding biscuits tea coffee sugar and a packet of biscuits waiting for us as well as a pint of milk in the fridge.

Comfortable modern apartment which is a great base for the area. Lots of fun places to dine a short walk away as well as plenty of options to stock and cook at home. Would highly recommend.
