Willows House has been elegantly furnished throughout, with a warm, contemporary style which complements the various character features including stone mullion windows, wooden panelling and a lovely stone fireplace with a real fire. This fabulous detached large holiday home in the Cotswolds has an open-plan feel to the ground floor, creating the perfect environment for entertaining with friends and family. During the warmer months, make the most of the landscaped gardens and enjoy some al fresco dining whilst soaking up the countryside views.

The large enclosed rear garden comprises of a large patio area, which has lovely views of the surrounding countryside, outdoor table with eight chairs, charcoal barbecue, plus a bench that comfortably seats 4 guests. Beyond the patio there is a mixture of lawn and beautiful flower beds.

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

Willows House is located in the peaceful village of Lower Swell, an unspoilt village benefitting from a popular country inn, The Golden Ball, which offers a warm and welcome atmosphere and serves hearty meals and local ale all year round. Lower Swell is surrounded by stunning countryside with a number of footpaths and cycle routes available from the doorstep. Just a mile away is the bustling market town of Stow-on-the-Wold, home to a variety of independent shops selling local produce and plenty of eateries. We would highly recommend a visit to the Old Butchers or The Old Stocks Inn, both offering fabulous Cotswold food and drink menus.
For your shopping essentials, there is a Co-op and a Tesco in Stow-on-the-Wold.
Lower Swell sits in the heart of the North Cotswolds and is perfectly placed for visiting Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Campden and Cheltenham, as well as the picture postcard villages of Broadway, Lower Slaughter and Blockley.

  • The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk
  • No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property
Things to Note...
  • The maximum occupancy for this property is 10 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 4 additional infants
  • Parties and events are not permitted without prior consent
  • We politely request that guests do not disturb the neighbours and that loud music is not played outside
  • A security deposit is required at this property
  • Check in is from 17:00 and check out is by 10:00
Security Deposit

A security deposit of £250 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date, providing no damage is reported the pre-authorisation will be released 5 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
