Yew Tree Cottage is a tastefully refurbished former stable that has been lovingly converted into a stunning holiday home in the Cotswolds which sleeps four guests, in two beautiful bedrooms, with a family bathroom. The attention to detail can be seen throughout, with particular homage paid to the idyllic local countryside in this modern rustic home. The welcoming living space in particular epitomises this; with its cosy log burner, plush soft furnishings and snug window seat, guests will find themselves spending an afternoon with a good book in front of the fire. With the well-equipped country-style kitchen/diner that leads onto the open garden overlooked by the beautiful dovecote, there is much to admire. Yew Tree Cottage is also dog friendly, allowing up to two dogs.

Booking & Payment

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

Yew Tree Cottage is a dog friendly self-catering holiday home located in the picturesque village of Southrop, one of five cottages on the owner's estate. This delightful village has many footpaths and a cosy village pub, The Swan, which is a firm favourite with locals for a wonderful seasonal meal. It is a great location for visiting places such as The Cotswold Wildlife Park, Daylesford Organic and Burford Garden Centre. Or perhaps take a trip to one of the many National Trust sites, including Badbury, Buscot Park or Sherborne Park. For your shopping essentials, there is a Co-op and independent retailers in Lechlade-on-Thames (many larger supermarkets will deliver to the area too).
Immerse yourself in Cotswold life and take a trip to the nearby destinations of Burford, Stow-on-the-Wold and Broadway, as well as visiting the beautiful city of Oxford.

  • The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk
  • No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property

  • The maximum occupancy for this property is 4 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 1 additional infant 
  • Hen and Stag parties can enquire
  • Events are not permitted without prior consent
  • A security deposit is required at this property
  • Check in is from 17:00 and check out is by 10:00
  • Yew Tree Cottage has a lovely communal garden for guests to enjoy and it is important to the owners that guests are courteous and considerate towards neighbouring properties. We politely request that guests do not disturb the neighbours past 10pm and that loud music is not played outside
  • Please note dogs cannot be exercised or go to the toilet on the lawn (please take them off site to do so)
  • Please note there are 3 separate outdoor seating areas that are not allocated to a specific property and are communal 
Security Deposit

A security deposit of £300 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date and, providing no damage is reported, the pre-authorisation will be released 7 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
