Carpenters Cottage is a beautiful, idyllic Cotswold holiday cottage which sleeps six guests in three stylish bedrooms with a family bathroom and ensuite. Impeccably designed, thoughtfully decorated, and with a flourish of colour, this exquisite home is full of interior delights. A log burner sits centre stage in the living room, with cosy soft furnishings and original beams, leading effortlessly to the light and airy kitchen, an ideal setting for a family brunch before heading out to explore the Cotswolds. Outside, a whimsical cottage garden awaits, with climbing roses, colourful borders, and a spacious lawn to enjoy in this peaceful setting.

Booking & Payment

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

Carpenters Cottage is located in the peaceful and picturesque village of Sandford St Martin. The village is nestled in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside, with plenty of walks from your doorstep and a short drive from pubs such as the Flakland Arms and the White Horse, which are particular favourites in the area. A must while you are visiting is to pop to Quince and Clover for a superb brunch or pick up local produce from The Cotswold Guy. If you are a member, it is an excellent place to stay to visit Soho Farmhouse, and it is only a 25-minute drive from Daylesford Organic.
For your shopping essentials, there are large supermarkets and independent retailers in Chipping Norton.
Carpenters Cottage location has so much to offer during your stay. With the renowned Cotswold towns of Chipping Norton, Stow-on-the-Wold, and Woodstock within easy reach, you can also spend a day out at Blenheim Palace or discover all that the city of Oxford has to offer.   • The maximum occupancy for this property is 6 guests, though the number of adults per booking is capped at 4. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 2 additional infants 
  • Events are not permitted without prior consent
  • A security deposit is required at this property
  • Check in is from 16:00 and check out is by 10:00
Security Deposit

A security deposit of £XX is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date and, providing no damage is reported, the pre-authorisation will be released 7 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
