The Old Stables at Broadwell Manor is a beautifully refurbished Cotswold holiday apartment which sleeps four guests, in two well-appointed bedrooms, with one bespoke bathroom. This stylish first floor apartment features a light and airy open plan sitting area, kitchen and dining area, and there is also a small covered patio space at ground level and a pretty grass area to the side which can be enjoyed all year round. The Old Stables is positioned within the stunning grounds of Broadwell Manor, a quintessential Grade II* listed Georgian country house. This beautiful apartment is a pet friendly Cotswold holiday home, suitable for two dogs.

The Old Stables can be booked either on its own, or with Orchard House at Broadwell Manor which sleeps two guests. Located in the same estate grounds, the two together offer an ideal setup for two families, or for friends travelling together.

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

The Old Stables is nestled within the Broadwell Manor Estate in the pretty village of Broadwell itself. The beautiful 12th century church is close by and just a short walk away through the grounds of Broadwell Manor is The Fox Inn, a much-loved local pub located opposite the picturesque village green and recently voted as one of the 'Best Pubs in the Cotswolds'. The charming market town of Stow-on-the-Wold is just over a mile away and boasts an array of boutique and quirky shops, fabulous Cotswold food and drink, plus, of course, an abundance of antique shops. For your shopping essentials, there are supermarkets in Stow-on-the-Wold and Moreton-in-Marsh.
Broadwell sits in the North Cotswolds and is well-placed for exploring the honeypots of Chipping Campden, Broadway, Bledington and Kingham, the last two being home to fantastic country pubs, The King's Head and The Wild Rabbit.

The maximum occupancy for this property is 4 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 1 additional infant (aged 2 or under)

Security Deposit/Accidental Damage Waiver

Bookings at this property require either a £200 Security Deposit or payment of a non-refundable Accidental Damage Waiver. Where you choose a Security Deposit and we have your payment card details on file (for your security, these details are tokenised), we have the right to charge an amount up to the value of the Security Deposit to your payment card up to seven days after your departure date. In some circumstances, we may require a pre-authorisation of the Security Deposit amount against your payment card seven days prior to your arrival date, which will be released seven days after your departure date, providing no damage is reported or excessive cleaning is required. You may choose to waive the requirement for a Security Deposit by paying for an Accidental Damage Waiver at checkout. This is a non-refundable payment that covers the cost of any accidental damage or breakages to the property or its contents, up to the value of the Security Deposit. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.

Located in a great location, feels safe and secure being behind gates but a good distance away from the main residence. Overall a good experience - one very good size double bedroom and the other big enough for a double but not spacious. My main concerns were the lack of a proper stand alone shower (there is only a hand held shower wand in the bath) and the cleanliness. While all the main surfaces were clean, the windows hadn't been cleaned, there were hairs on the towels, cobwebs and noticeable dust on some surfaces and around the bath. I would recommend this property to others as it was a fair price but there is room for improvement.

This is the second time we have stayed at the stables. The location is perfect for exploring the Cotswolds . The local pub is very friendly and tasty food. We would definitely rebook. There are a few areas that would make the score a 5/5. The toilet seat isn't secure and makes you jump every time you use the toilet. Limited toilet roll, so advise people to buy/ bring extra. Last time we stayed there was a supply of washing capsules, no provision this time. Perhaps the last people left supplies. The dining table leaf needs attention, we had to use wedges to make the table safe.These comments are designed to help not criticise as we really love the property and without doubt will rebook
