Abbots Cottage is a beautiful Grade II listed Cotswold holiday cottage dating back to the 17th century. This cottage sleeps 4 guests in two stylishly decorated bedrooms each featuring sloped ceilings and beams, synonymous with the Cotswolds area. Also upstairs there is a spacious family bathroom complete with roll top bath.

On the ground floor, an airy living area is home to a cosy inglenook fireplace with wood burner. At the rear of the cottage is a well-equipped kitchen with dining table. The large patio doors open from the kitchen onto the tranquil terrace with views of the town and the beautiful countryside that surrounds Winchcombe. Abbots Cottage has retained its character features from the traditional street exterior to the exposed beams and Cotswold stone walls inside, all of which have been tastefully combined with contemporary facilities and furnishings.

In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

Abbots Cottage is located in the centre of Winchcombe, a Saxon town in the North Cotswolds. This town is home to many amenities including boutique shops, eateries and tea rooms, there is even a Michelin starred restaurant, Restaurant 5 North Street. Throughout the year Winchcombe also hosts many traditional local events such as the Literary and Arts festival and the monthly country market.
For your shopping essentials there is a Mid-Counties Co-op in Winchcombe and a Tesco Superstore in Cheltenham.
Winchcombe is surrounded by stunning countryside and holds the 'Walkers are Welcome' status. It is uniquely placed at an intersection of the renowned hiking and cycling routes The Cotswold Way, Gloucestershire Way, Warden’s Way and Windrush Way. Just a short drive away are the much loved towns of Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Campden and Cheltenham, as well as the picturesque villages of Broadway, Lower Slaughter and Blockley. Top attractions of Sudeley Castle and the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam train are both within easy reach of the Cotswold accommodation.

Security Deposit

A security deposit of £150 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date and, providing no damage is reported, the pre-authorisation will be released 7 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
