Location Information

Brookend Cottage is located in the pretty village of Chastleton, an unspoilt village benefitting from beautiful rural views. Chastleton is most famously known for Chastleton House, one of the finest Jacobean mansions in the country which attracts many visitors and is today part of the National Trust. To the southwest of the village there is an Iron Age hill fort of historical significance, known as Chastleton Barrow, with a single bank that encloses an area of about 3.5 acres. There are many stunning walks on its doorstep, a couple of which include Chastleton House as part of the journey; Chastleton to Adlestrop and Chastleton Dovecote to Chastleton House. A 15 minute drive away you will find Batsford Arboretum, home to a unique collection of some of the world’s most beautiful and rare trees, shrubs and bamboos spread across 60 acres; you will also find, a garden centre, cafe, gift shop, Falconry Centre and Cotswold Archery on the site.

For your shopping essentials, there is a Co-op, Tesco Express and an Aldi Superstore in Moreton-in-Marsh, 4 miles away. On the edge of Stow-on-the-Wold, 6 miles away you will find a larger Tesco store.
