Situated on Camden Farm in West Oxfordshire, this cottage has everything you need for a romantic getaway to the Cotswolds. Whether you fancy cosying up by the log burning stove after a crisp winter walk or soaking up the sunshine in the front garden area on a warm summer’s day, Honey Cottage is the one for you!

Accommodation
This one bedroom holiday cottage in Radcot, near Lechlade-on-Thames is the perfect dog friendly holiday retreat and ideally located to explore the surrounding countryside on foot. The accommodation is laid out as follows:

The property is split level with three steps leading to bathroom and bedroom

Kitchen/living room
Open plan kitchen and living space with small dining table and seating for two, double oven, electric hob, fridge with small freezer compartment, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle and radio
Living area with two seater sofa, chair, wood burning stove and TV

Dressing room
Large floor length mirror, wall hooks with hanging space, chest of drawers and fan

Bathroom
Walk in rain shower with separate hand held attachment, loo, basin and heated towel rail

Bedroom (Sleeps 2)

Small bistro table with seating for two, charcoal BBQ and full enclosed and fenced lawn garden

Additional facilities
Camden Farm Barns comprises seven properties in total and boasts a large estate complete with football pitch and canopy covered open games space, great for rainy day activities including ping pong and table football. Being just a short walk from the river, during spring and summer guests can rent a paddle board or hire the ex-MOD truck, 'The Goose', which sits on the riverbank, great for a picnic or BBQ. From August 2025, a six-person infrared sauna with shower will be available (see Finer Details)
All of these facilities are offered on a complimentary basis, and are bookable upon arrival at Camden Farm Barns, subject to availability and weather conditions

Booking & Payment

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

Honey Cottage is situated in the heart of the Oxfordshire countryside, close to the village of Radcot and just two and a half miles from the historic market town of Faringdon. This vibrant town is home to a number of pubs, restaurants and coffee shops, and even has its own tower which sits atop Folly Hill and looks out across five counties. Being just a stone's throw from the River Thames, you can pick up the Thames Path and explore the river on foot, or perhaps hire a boat from nearby Lechlade-on-Thames.

For your shopping essentials, there are local retailers and supermarkets in Faringdon.
Radcot is well-placed for visiting the many picturesque towns and villages of the region such as Cirencester, Burford, Bibury and Bampton, the latter recognised by many as the village in TV's Downton Abbey, and is within easy reach for a day trip to the impressive city of Oxford.

The maximum occupancy for this property is 2 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 1 additional infant (aged 2 or under)

Use of the additional facilities is provided for guests’ enjoyment on a complimentary basis, bookable on arrival and subject to availability
The sauna can be booked for an hour’s slot between 9am and 8pm, subject to availability and safety guidelines
Guests are requested to bring their own towels to use the sauna and paddle boards
The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk
No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property

Complimentary EV charging point (shared between other properties on site and restricted use of 6hrs per day per car)
Arrivals between Monday 16^th September and Saturday 12^th October 2025 will require 10 days’ notice to ensure the properties can be made ready

Security Deposit

A security deposit of £150 is required for bookings at this property. We reserve the right to charge an amount up to the value of the security deposit to your payment card up to 7 days after your departure date. In some circumstances, we may require a pre-authorisation of the security deposit amount against your payment card 7 days prior to your arrival date, which will be released 7 days after your departure date, providing no damage is reported or excessive cleaning is required. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.

Stayed for 3 nights in November, the location is great, you can walk down to the river from just outside the cottage. The bed is huge and very comfy, lovely bathroom and a very cosy living room. Perfect for a quiet relaxing weekend hideaway. There were just a few things stopping me giving 5 stars for everything. I know it's in the country side and some are to be expected but there were so many cobwebs all over the cottage, especially in the dressing room, which was looking a little tired with some wallpaper peeling. Some things were just looking a little tired, the cottage would just benefit from a little TLC.

We stopped off here for a couple of nights on the way to a family wedding and had a very relaxing, comfortable stay. The cottage had every amenity we could want and was in a quiet, peaceful location, but well situated for walks along the Thames as well as other attractions. We particularly appreciated the welcome pack with the wine, as we had left at home the drinks we intended to bring. We will definitely stay again next time we are in the area.
