StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Old Rectory is nestled next to the stunning church in the quaint village of Miserden, home to a village shop and popular pub, The Carpenters Arms. This impressive country house is part of the Miserden Estate, whose beautiful walled gardens and grounds guests are welcome to explore at their leisure. For your shopping essentials, the well-stocked Miserden Village Shop is located in the heart of the village and there are supermarkets in the nearby towns of Stroud, Cirencester and Cheltenham.
Miserden is ideally located as a base to explore the local area to visit villages, towns and attractions such as Cirencester, Painswick, Tetbury, Highgrove House, Bibury and Stow-on-the-Wold.

The Finer Details

  • The maximum occupancy for this property is 13 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 6 additional infants (aged 2 or under)
  • Bed linen and towels are provided (duvets and pillows are hypoallergenic)
  • Off street parking is available for 6 cars
  • 2 travel cots and 1 highchair are available on request (please bring your own linen for the travel cots, as this is not provided)

  • No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property

  • Hen and Stag parties are not permitted, though other same sex groups can enquire 
  • Events are not permitted without prior consent
  • A security deposit is required at this property
  • Check in is from 17:00 and check out is by 10:00
  • The garden is regularly maintained by a professional gardening service and although this work is generally carried out when the property is vacant, the gardener may need to carry out work whilst the property is occupied. If you require further information, please don’t hesitate to contact us
  • Charging electric vehicles at this property is not permitted
Security Deposit

A security deposit of £750 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date and, providing no damage is reported, the pre-authorisation will be released 7 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
