Ridge Barn is a beautifully styled Cotswold holiday home near Shipston-on-Stour which sleeps eight guests, in four stylish bedrooms, with three contemporary bathrooms. This pet friendly, single storey home away from home sits within the grounds of a former working farm and features a spacious open plan living area, with pocket doors for separation if desired, a cosy wood burner and underfloor heating throughout. There is a peaceful garden at the front of the property which enjoys spectacular rural views, is hot tub compatible and has a small fire pit, perfect for those chillier evenings.

Ridge Barn can be booked either on its own, or with Furrow Barn which sleeps four guests. Situated back to back, the two together offer an ideal setup for larger groups.

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

Ridge Barn is located on the outskirts of the hamlet of Honington, and is just three miles from the bustling market town of Shipston-on-Stour. This vibrant town is home to a number of cafes, restaurants and popular pubs, including The George Townhouse which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and offers a range of ales, beers and cocktails.

For your shopping essentials, there are supermarkets in Shipston-on-Stour.
Honington is well-placed for exploring the many picturesque towns and villages of the North Cotswolds such as Chipping Campden, Moreton-in-Marsh and Broadway, and is within easy reach of some of the area's finest attractions including the National Trust owned Hidcote Gardens, and historic Stratford-upon-Avon.

The maximum occupancy for this property is 8 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 1 additional infant (aged 2 or under)

The property sits within the grounds of a former working farm, and for the safety of guests, access to the farmyard and surrounding fields is not permitted
The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk
No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property
To enquire about including a hot tub for your stay, please contact Nick at Oxford Hot Tubs. Hire costs will be payable to Oxford Hot Tubs directly, along with a standard £75 charge payable to the Owner via StayCotswold as a contribution towards the usual running costs

Security Deposit

A security deposit of £250 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date and, providing no damage is reported, the pre-authorisation will be released 7 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.

Everything about Ridge Barn was better than anticipated, it was bigger (we were a party of 8 and there was ample space), the condition was excellent, the location; including the unspoiled views, the open frontage for playing with the kids, and the surrounding countryside are perfect. The owners, who love next door are a delight, so welcoming and accommodating. Genuinely exceptional holiday home, would recommend and return in a heartbeat.

The Barn is so much bigger inside than it looks from the front. Really spacious, tastefully decorated, very well equipped and comfortable. The kitchen area is enormous with a huge store cupboard, fridge freezer and electric range oven. We stayed on a very hot weekend so it was quite warm inside, we kept on thinking the underfloor heating was on, however as its high up in a rather windy spot, opening the french windows solved that. The large utility room with outside access is a really useful space for storage and for dog paraphernalia. We made great use of the grassy space on the drive for children´s games. The only negatives would be that in hot weather the duvets are too heavy and the bedroom curtains don´t cut out all the light. Of course non of this is a problem most of the year.
